Business Intelligence Analyst
to join our IT team

The skilled and collaborative Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert in BI tools such as Business Objects, Power BI, Fivetran, and Databricks. In this role, you will lead data integration and migration efforts, working closely with end users, departmental stakeholders, and IT teams to transform data into actionable business insights. You will be responsible for ensuring data accessibility for reporting and system integration, defining business requirements, setting key performance indicators (KPIs), and developing BI strategies. Additionally, you will design, document, and maintain dashboards, alerts, and reports, while providing ongoing user support for daily BI reporting needs.

The Role:

• Design, develop, test and implement systems for BI reporting and analysis.
• Provide technical support for existing reports, dashboards or other tools.
• Data Integration Support.
• Prepare, maintain BI reporting and analysis documentations.
• Handle BI and database systems administration while managing a timely flow of business intelligence information to users.
• Manage upgrades, maintenance and troubleshooting of BI systems.
• Managing the ticketing system, to keep track of open tickets, assigning and sending updates to end-users.
• Managing projects as assigned along with daily tasks.

The Person:

• 3-6 years as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in BI technologies and tools.
• College Diploma in Computer Science or related field is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field is an asset.
• Certificate in Information Technology and Business Intelligence is preferred.
• Power BI training is required.
• Knowledge on SAP Business Object 4.3.

What You'll Do

• Create and maintain a large repository of reports/dashboards
• Coordinate with internal and/or external stakeholders to capture requirements and provide input on optimal data insights
• Use analytical techniques to inspect and sort data into a useful format and create reports and visualizations that help solve business problems
• Work with business and finance teams to build our metrics to measure the impact of changes or to better surface information to decision-makers
• Maintains current knowledge of industry and business trends through communication with professional organizations, suppliers, customers, competitors, and other informed individuals
• Adopt, implement, and effectively evolve report automation standards
• Performs other related duties as assigned

What You Bring

• 3+ years transforming data into dashboards or other self-serve insights
• Advanced SQL: complex joins, window functions, performance tuning
• Solid grasp of data-warehouse concepts: dimensional modeling, slowly changing dimensions, ELT pipelines
• Hands-on with at least one modern BI/visualization platform (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.)
• Comfortable querying large cloud-scale datasets (Snowflake or similar)
• Ability to translate technical findings into clear business narratives for non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with AWS QuickSight and DTB for data transformation is a strong asset

Votre mission dans l’équipe :

Le·la titulaire du poste participe à la création d'outils analytiques afin de favoriser la meilleure utilisation des données clients, de marché et internes nécessaire à la prise de décisions des gestionnaires de son secteur. Il·elle participe à différents projets spéciaux de la bannière en supportant les différentes équipes dans l'élaboration de stratégies de prix et de stratégies promotionnelles, découlant de l’apprentissage des données-clients, en combinaison avec les données internes et externes pertinentes. Il·elle élabore des recommandations applicables basées sur l'apprentissage des données analysées.

Vos responsabilités en tant qu’Analyste intelligence d’affaires:

• Agit en tant que support analytique à titre d'agent de changement avec la mise en marché avec les différents départements interne et externe.
• Utilise ses compétences analytiques et sa logique commerciale pour supporter les projets porteurs de l'entreprise à l'aide d'un éventail de données internes et externes.
• Développe et programme des outils d’évaluation de la performance des activités promotionnelles par secteur et par catégorie en considérant des KPI clients ainsi que les données de performance et de rentabilité.
• S'assure d'uniformiser et de standardiser les rapports d'analyses produits en créant une synergie efficace entre les différents rapports requis.
• Produit des rapports ad hoc selon les besoins d'affaires et projets en cours de développement.
• Assure un suivi dans le temps des activités déployées dans le cadre du développement des catégories au processus interne de la mise en marché.
• Assure l'intégrité des données des rapports mis en œuvre.

Les qualifications que nous cherchons :

• BAC en administration des affaires ou l'équivalent
• Posséder un minimum de trois (3) à cinq (5) ans d’expérience dans un poste similaire
• Bonne maitrise des plates-formes de programmation et de navigation tels que PowerBi, Microstrategy, tableau, excel VBA, ect
• Démontrer un sens de l’organisation accru pour prioriser les projets/tâches
• Connaissance de l'industrie pharmaceutique, un atout
• Expérience en gestion, un atout

That’s where you come in; In this brand-new role, you’ll oversee the process and tools we use to make key business decisions. Using a data-driven approach, you’ll ensure that our executive team has clear options that include risk and opportunity profiles. Working with our BI platform will include equal parts management and optimization. While our current platforms and dashboards are adequate, an early focus of this role will involve modernizing our approach to data. Most importantly, your work will help us see our business in new ways; by combining clear communication skills with insightful analysis, you’ll make unique and valuable contributions to the business in the short and long-term.
