What is the ideal profile for this position?

  • University or college degree in a relevant field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (6S, Kaizen, PDCA, Kata, 8D, etc.) and Lean Six Sigma certification is an asset.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English at an advanced level.
  • Proficiency in French and English, spoken and written.
  • Analytical mindset, good judgment, rigor, sense of responsibility, and autonomy.

  • Develop, analyze, and maintain performance indicators, identify gaps, and propose action plans.
  • Coordinate and support continuous improvement projects, including facilitating workshops (A3, Kata, Kaizen) and developing tools.
  • Develop training materials, train staff on continuous improvement concepts, and support them in changing management.
  • Participate in drafting and updating work procedures, problem-solving, and validating quality standards.
  • Apply occupational health and safety standards and promote a culture of continuous improvement at all levels of the organization.

The Manager, Credit Card Processes (Business Processes) will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and ongoing management of business processes that support the delivery and optimization of the credit card portfolio. This role involves collaborating cross-functionally, ensuring compliance, monitoring performance, optimizing processes, and maintaining control mechanisms to improve portfolio efficiency and customer satisfaction.

What will you be doing?

Process Establishment and Optimization

  • Lead the design, establishment, and documentation of business processes.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders (e.g., IT, Finance, Operations, Risk, Marketing) to ensure seamless integration of new services and initiatives.
  • Continuously assess and optimize existing processes for efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability.

Monitoring and Performance Reporting

  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for credit card operations.
  • Monitor ongoing processes to ensure alignment with organizational goals, compliance standards, and customer expectations.
  • Provide regular reports on process performance, highlighting trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Identify and address process breakdowns using various management techniques and tools, including Visual Management, Business Process Management, root cause analysis, and Lean methodologies.

Risk and Compliance Controls

  • Work with legal stakeholders to ensure business processes for credit cards comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Establish control mechanisms to identify and mitigate potential risks related to service delivery and customer interactions.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with product, marketing, finance, risk, IT, and customer service teams to drive initiatives supporting the credit card portfolio.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to teams involved in service delivery, ensuring alignment and continuous improvement.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Foster a culture of innovation by recommending new strategies, tools, and technologies to improve service offerings.

Training and Development

  • Develop training materials and resources for staff to manage business processes effectively.

What experience do you have?

Our Canadian business is seeking a motivated and skilled Senior Process Manager - Water Management to drive delivery of water treatment and water management projects in the Mining and Industrial sectors. You will lead multidiscipline engineering teams for concept, prefeasibility, feasibility studies, detailed engineering design and construction phases. You will work in a hybrid team environment to deliver projects to our clients here in Canada and occasionally for international projects.
The Senior Process Manager - Water Management responsibility will encompass leadership and delivery of water treatment and water management (surface and underground) projects across Canada, and occasionally for international projects.
The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
* Responsible for the management of multi-disciplined project teams, including a hybrid blend of in-person and remote team members, to deliver a variety of projects from small to complex; from concept studies to execution phase.
* Supervise the production of technical documentation, drawings, reports, and other deliverables.
* Proactively manage scope and change management according to company standards and project requirements.
* Demonstrate creativity, foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual project delivery, technical and client challenges, determining technical objectives and requirements, organizing programs and projects.
* Ensure project work is undertaken is accordance with corporate health and safety policies and quality management systems.
* Qualified to provide the Lead Verifier review function for water treatment process deliverables
* Manage and monitor contractual obligations for engineering projects.

* Mentor junior staff and maintain a collaborative, learning environment within the project team or discipline.
**Qualifications**
Minimum Requirements :
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering + 10 years' experience (ideally with an engineering firm) in studies and engineering design of water treatment plants for mining and industrial infrastructure.
* 10 years experience in Project Manager or Process Lead roles (within an engineering design team) for multi-disciplined engineering studies and detailed designs
Preferred Qualifications :
* Project Manager responsibility on at least three (3+) studies or projects with capital value +$50M
* Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in at least one Canadian province, or eligible to register within 6-12 months
* Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the United States an asset

In this role, you'll be working with Business Analysts, Financial Analysts and Project Managers supporting Strategy and Business Development functions within Canada Card.

About the Role

The team is primarily responsible for identifying and evaluating new business opportunities, including products, marketing strategies, and partnerships. The team also supports senior leadership to understand market dynamics, competitor moves, and emerging trends.

As a Senior Manager, Business Analysis at Capital One, you will apply your strategic and analytical skills to major company challenges. You will develop and test strategies that ultimately impact the bottom line. The Strategy team is responsible for working with the Canada leadership team to define long-term goals for the business that enable consistent and resilient growth. In addition, the team works to identify how these goals can be achieved, partnering with key stakeholders, and to prioritize and assess new opportunities and partnerships. The team also maintains close relationships with Capital One US counterparts and business partners to ensure alignment with enterprise strategy.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Strategic leadership: Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One in the face of shifting consumer and regulatory behavior, and to drive business to meet long-term goals

  • Business ownership: Have an ownership mindset, and P&L accountability for business cases. Strategic planning with a 1-6 month horizon

  • Leadership: May eventually manage and develop a team of analysts. Coaching and mentoring associates throughout the organization with a goal of developing and retaining talent at Capital One

  • Execution: Coordinate and collaborate across the business to manage and sequence delivery of business cases and initiatives, build business requirements and execute against the growth strategy. Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently

  • Partnership: Work closely with colleagues across Capital One including: Tech, Marketing, Operations, Finance and others to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitability

  • Strategic & analytic orientation: A proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics. Conceptual thinking skills must be complemented by a strong quantitative orientation, given that a large part of the business is based on rigorous analytic marketing & credit risk management

  • Strong business judgment, leadership and integrity: He/she should be a tenacious decision maker, able to bring a healthy, aggressive, yet responsible approach to business. Self-starter, and comfortable with blue-sky thinking and working with imperfect/incomplete information

  • Solid people leadership experience: Ability to build and leverage the capabilities of a high-performing team, as well as business partners across the enterprise. He/she should foster innovation, drive critical decisions, hold business partners accountable, and be able to consistently deliver results

  • Strong executive communication skills: Impeccable written and oral communication credentials, coupled with strategic influencing skills and the ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal and negotiation skills

  • Clear results orientation: display an intense focus on achieving both short and long term goals. He/she should be able to drive and execute an agenda in an uncertain and fluid environment

  • Successful track record of thriving in a fast paced, entrepreneurial and dynamic environment. Previous consulting experience is a plus

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree (Master's Degree preferred)
At least 5 years of experience in quantitative analysis/financial modeling

At least 5 years of experience in qualitative analysis
At least 3 years of experience in people management
At least 3 years of experience in project management
At least 2 years of experience in competitive/market analysis


Preferred Qualifications:

Corporate strategy decision making and problem solving using analytics with a basic understanding of credit card

Position Summary

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both business analysis and technical subject matter expertise, along with proven leadership experience in a fast-paced environment. You will drive the alignment of business objectives with technology solutions, guide your team in effective communication with stakeholders, and ensure timely and high-quality delivery of software projects and customer engagements from the Business Analyst Team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of business analysts and solution SMEs, providing guidance and mentorship to drive professional development and deliver high-quality analysis and project deliverables.
  • Continuously develop and advance the capabilities and strength of the BA and SME team, aligning the team with company growth strategies through improvement initiatives, team leadership and succession planning.
  • Develop and maintain short and longer resource demand and capacity models, effectively balancing project priorities, individual team member development plans, and business/client continuity.
  • Drive outcome based continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing business processes and identifying opportunities for innovation and efficiency.
  • Develop KPIs to measure team and project performance, continuously assessing and improving processes.
  • Champion change management efforts and BA best practices, ensuring the successful adoption of new software solutions and process improvements within the organization.
  • Oversee and ensure the quality of all requirements documentation, ensuring it meets the needs of internal teams (engineering, UX, sales) and external stakeholders.
  • Foster continuous collaboration between the professional services teams and product owners, ensuring that customer direction is aligned with product strategy and vision.
  • Facilitate collaboration between stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure alignment with business objectives and product vision.
  • Act as the point of escalation for any complex business or technical issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews for your team, providing feedback, career development, and growth opportunities.
  • Work closely with leadership and product teams to develop and refine product and client strategiesbased on market trends, customer feedback, and internal data.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Managing Business Analysts as direct reports
  • 8+ years of experience in business analysis or a related field, with a track record of successfully managing teams
  • Knowledge of multiple delivery methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional communication skills, high attention to detail with the ability to quickly gain stakeholders' trust. Effective influencer, adept at reconciling diverse viewpoints.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse teams.
  • High level of discretion with confidential matters.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a leadership role within a fast-paced environment, preferably in the technology or supply chain sectors
  • Knowledge of multiple delivery methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Experience with retail, wholesale and/or manufacturing industry IT systems will be a plus
  • Advanced degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field

The purpose of this senior role is to provide business expertise and analysis in the service of the global Wealth Management group in a business analysis, project management and product owner capacity. In this role, the senior director will use their business experience to provide high-level context to other senior business leaders on Wealth Management projects. This is in contrast to other BA roles, in which the analyst is focussed on one particular project and the incumbent details for specification and testing. The senior director will also utilise their direct work experience to build relationships with the Wealth and Front Office business so that the requirements definition cycle is shortened, issues are identified or understood quickly, and test cases are as effective and efficient as possible.


In essence, we are looking for a Senior Director who can work in a hybrid BA/COO capacity for the entire global portfolio of programs across the Wealth business. This is both a 'hands on' and a strategic leadership role which will include 360 assessment and direction of your peer group and senior interaction with the business and organizational leadership.

Primary Objectives:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with the client base for all assigned projects.
  • Take over and fix red projects/programs.
  • Communicate business issues and medium-to-high level requirements to other BA’s and project/program managers on assigned projects.
  • Ensure that all the group's deliverable documents (Business Requirements Doc, Functional Specifications, and System Requirements Specifications) are of high quality and in line with the project objectives.
