JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works closely with Product Development and R&D teams in sourcing chemicals, fragrances, aerosols and components.
- Ensures timely follow up both internally and externally to ensure adequate material is sourced at the best price meeting all quality requirements.
- Works closely with Production, Engineering and Maintenance to identify sourcing opportunities for commonly used items and services.
- Generates Purchase Orders and ensure adequate follow up and updating of ETAs in Syspro.
- Coordinates activities related to product samples requests, both for new product development and execution of other Strategic Sourcing initiatives.
- Seeks various opportunities to reduce TCO (total cost of ownership), either by renegotiating unit price, MOQ or improving cost in use.
- Communicates and coordinates between various departments to discuss new raw materials requirements for new product launches.
- Mitigate or minimize excess and obsolescence through effective purchases and management of inventory.
- Engages in daily and weekly team meetings to communicate on material status to mitigate risks to production.
- Coordinates with suppliers, internal departments and support staff to achieve team and Company goals and timelines.
- Achieves established goals as outlined by department leader.
- In coordination with R&D and Regulatory departments, ensure compliance with existing and prospective vendors.
- Act as a backfill for other members on the team.
- Other duties/projects as assigned.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required
- University degree in a related field required
- Experience working with ERP, MRP, and Supply Chain Management (SCM) systems to support procurement and inventory processes.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong focus on Excel
- Excellent negotiation and time management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Prior experience with liquid fill componentry preferred
- Background in the pharmaceutical industry considered an asset
- Specialized training or regulatory certifications considered an asset

QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary education or equivalent
- Possess or be actively working toward Advanced status in "Professional Program" of SCMA/SCMAO or similar would be an asset.

- Flexibility to manage after hours conference calls / travel to offsite supplier locations as needed.
- Issuing of all applicable Purchase Orders and Amendments
- Responsible for minimizing and verifying all supplier obsolescence claims with supporting documentation.
- Responsible for monitoring and acquiring cost savings & productivity participation rebates from production suppliers.
- Responsible for issuing all Supplier debit and credit notes as required.
- Contributes to Departmental Continual Improvement at all times, both in general and specifically related to departmental goals and activity.
- Attends APQP meetings and executes all purchasing responsibilities along with keeping program tracking charts up to date
- Works with quality team to process QPF claims back to suppliers
- Research potential suppliers to develop global souring opportunities
- Maintains responsibility for departmental Continuous Improvement at all times, both in general and specifically related to individual duties

We are looking for a positive and team-oriented individual to join our Supply Chain team located in Vaughan, ON (hybrid) as a Supply Chain Analyst.
The successful candidate will make an impact by driving the supply chain planning process forward, including areas such as: Supplier Management, Internal and External Customer collaboration, procurement, and will be responsible for maintaining high levels of customer service by managing forecasts, procurement, customer demand and inventory levels.

+ Execute a collaborative process with internal and external stakeholders to forecast, share information, address issues and concerns
+ Responsible for event management, execution of new and discontinued items, reporting and analytics
+ Ability to work and build strong relationships with internal customers, sources of supply, and business peers
+ Effectively manage inventory to provide high levels of customer service while also maximizing inventory turnover
+ Perform all supply planning for assigned portfolio and issue purchase orders to suppliers and ensure timely delivery
+ Expedite, prioritize, and optimize inventory to ensure we meet or exceed our stated customer service levels
+ Assist in the resolution of issues involving order promising, deviations to planned inventory levels, establishment and utilization of safety stock, and customer delivery difficulties
+ Identifying opportunities for process improvements that improve service, speed or cost, through analysis of supply chain information and metrics
+ Decision-making: involves understanding business/customer needs, identifying problem areas, analyzing supply chain parameters and working with management to support business strategies and customer needs
+ Communication and follow up with other areas of the supply chain to ensure product flow
**_This Job might be for you if you have:_**
+ A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Mathematics, or a related field preferred
+ 2+ years of Supply Chain experience (Planner, Materials Planning, Demand Forecasting, etc.) preferred
+ Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Access and PowerPoint (e.g., Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, linking, macros, etc.)
+ Self-motivated, solid time management, computer and analytical skills
+ Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
+ Strong communication and leadership skills (verbal, written and presentation)
+ Demonstrated analytical capabilities to turn data into insight and insight into action
+ APICS certification or SCMA designation of in the process of completing preferred
+ Proven ability to make continuous improvements (Lean Six Sigma) preferred
