- Perform skilled electrical tasks to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and/or modify complex industrial equipment, processes and/or systems
- Diagnose cause of malfunctions or equipment failure and apply preventative and corrective electrical maintenance on hydraulic/pneumatic equipment
- Operate motorized vehicles and equipment to move or lift products, equipment, or materials
- Follow all safety, food safety, and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals with minimal supervision
Required Qualifications
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada and at least 18 years old
- Ontario or Inter-Provincial 309A/442A Electrician Certificate required by Skilled Trades Ontario or Red Seal Certification
- Full License with Certification of Apprenticeship of 9,000 hours completed
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience as a licensed Electrician/Journeyman in a food manufacturing/production environment
- Proficient to interpret and understand electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints and operation manuals including the “Ontario Electrical Code” book
- Ability to perform physical tasks (bending, kneeling, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs)
- English reading and writing skills
- Perform LOTO safety procedure
- Basic use of a computer and typing skills
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and in varied environmental conditions such as but not limited to dust, noise, hot and cold
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in food manufacturing and CFIA regulations
- Familiarity with MRO (Maintenance Repair Ops) or MRP (Material Requirement Planning) systems
- Ability to read blueprints and layout drawings
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
