Let’s help you launch your career with BVR Veterinary Supplies – a Division of AVL/Solvet! We are looking for an energetic and dedicated Production Assistant to join our team on-site in our Calgary facility working 40 hours/week (Monday - Friday). This is an evening shift position from 2:30 - 11PM.

THE ROLE
Reporting to the Lead RVT, the BVR Production Assistant is responsible for the compounding and packaging of veterinary pharmaceutical products.
DAY-TO-DAY
- Assist in compounding, packaging, labelling, weighing, filling, capping and stacking of pharmaceutical products following strict quality processes
- Adhere to all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and company work instructions
- Complete all required paperwork including logbooks, work orders and other required documents
- Follow all company policies as described in the Employee Handbook
- Follow all safety procedures, and assist in maintaining a safe workspace
- Maintain a clean working area,
- Cleaning of utensils, and routine cleaning and care of equipment
- Some heavy lifting and repetitive movements
- Ability to safely and responsibly work with hazardous chemicals in controlled environment
- Other related duties as required
IDEAL FIT
Education & Experience
- Post secondary with a background in science, or equivalent combination of high school education and experience
- Basic chemistry knowledge would be considered an asset
- Previous experience with sterile products or sterile (surgical) workspace will be considered an asset
- Experience working in the medical or veterinary or pharmacy industry preferred.

- Great interpersonal and communication skills (high functioning level of English required)
- Reliable, punctual and thrives as part of a busy team
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on lab cleanliness and sterility
- Comfortable with multi-tasking and adaptable to changing priorities

Position Summary
TheInstructor, Advanced Film Productionapplies skill in teaching and learning to facilitate inclusive student engagement and educational approaches for learners as they develop innovative techniques to teach students about the many facets of their courses.
The Instructor guides the development of curriculum, courses, and methodologies to address the learning requirements within the Centre for Entertainment Arts programs. The Instructor works collaboratively with faculty and internal stakeholders to facilitate inclusive learning opportunities for learners of varying skill-levels and experience; delivers and develops related curriculum as assigned; supports internal research into continuous instructional improvement; and liaises with external stakeholders to support placement and partnership opportunities in industry.
Qualifications
- Diploma in a related field (post-secondary)
- 2 years of industry experience, and one accredited published movie, game or app title
- Demonstrable familiarity and experience in this discipline
- Excellent communication, organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead workshops, lectures and seminars
- An equivalent combination of directly related education and experience may be considered

THE ROLE
The Production Assistant supports the manufacturing of pharmaceutical products by performing a variety of tasks on the production floor.
This role ensures products are produced in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and company quality standards.
DAY-TO-DAY
- Assist in the preparation, compounding, packaging, labeling, and production of pharmaceutical products according to approved batch records, SOPs, and cGMP standards.
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment under supervision.
- Set up, clean, and sanitize equipment and production areas in compliance with company procedures and regulatory guidelines.
- Accurately complete documentation, including logbooks, work orders, and other required records.
- Transport materials, components, and finished products within the facility.
- Adhere to all company SOPs, safety protocols, and cGMP regulations, including proper use of PPE.
- Report equipment malfunctions or process deviations promptly.
- Support quality assurance and control activities as needed.
