This is an exciting opportunity to join us in a Project Assistant role in our Project Management department. Growth, development and promotion for the successful applicant is anticipated and will be encouraged. This position reports to the manager of the Project Management Team.
 
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited

  • Review incoming client documents and highlight any information that requires immediate attention and note any dates and/or wording that will impact the schedule (PO’s and contracts)
  • Schedule client calls and internal meetings for Project Management team (internal).
  • Regularly update online databases with project updates, delivery dates, etc.
  • Attend internal meetings to take notes, ensure timelines are met and teams are communicating effectively.
  • Provide additional assistance to the Project Administrators and Project Managers as required.
  • Organize and track all insurance requests from clientele.
  • Ensure processes are being adhered to by reviewing reports and other internal documents.
  • Work alongside many internal teams at one time to adapt new processes.
 
 Qualifications:
  • Effective negotiation skills and the demonstrated ability to manage relationships.
  • Ability to manage and facilitate numerous projects.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented.
  • 1 + years’ experience working as a Project Assistant in the construction industry is an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines, multi-task and follow up.
  • Proficiency in MS office.

+ Advises on strategic approaches to effectively achieve clean energy goals across program initiatives.

**AECOM is seeking Project Information Specialist/SPOC Support - Passenger Experience** to join our team. This position is based on-site, out of Mississauga. We are seeking professionals to join our team to help us build one of the most advanced, sustainable and passenger-friendly airports in the world.
**Major Responsibilities:**
+ Provides specialized project management expertise to support the coordination of organizational requirements and interfaces.
+ Collaborates closely with airport departments to minimize impacts, identify opportunities, and ensure departmental needs are met throughout the Program.
+ Translates complex technical information-related to key milestones and core initiatives-into actionable insights for specific business units, while identifying stakeholder engagement and communication needs.
+ Engages with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate consultations and secure necessary approvals.
+ Works in partnership with the broader program team to coordinate reviews, inspections, and approvals as needed.
+ Delivers regular updates and reports to clearly communicate emerging risks and opportunities.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements:**
In order to be considered for this position, candidates must possess, at a minimum:
+ No less than a University Degree + 4 years of relevant experience in project and/or program management including on large international airport projects or comparable complex infrastructure programs.
Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education may be considered.
**Preferred Requirements:**
+ Typically possesses a minimum of 10 years of experience in project and/or program management.
+ At least 5 years of experience working on large international airport projects or comparable complex infrastructure programs.
+ Proven expertise in project management and/or relevant technical disciplines to support the successful delivery of complex initiatives.
+ Demonstrated experience in leading and managing multidisciplinary teams to execute large-scale projects and programs.
+ Comprehensive technical proficiency across all project phases, including design, planning, construction, operations, and maintenance-preferably within major programs or projects.
+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize technical information for diverse stakeholder audiences, while identifying key engagement and communication requirements.
+ Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships and deliver clear, actionable reporting to support informed decision-making.
**Additional Information**
This position requires work on-site/out of the office 5 days a week.

Position Summary:

The Assistant Project Manager (APM) supports the successful planning, coordination, and execution of construction or infrastructure projects. Working closely with the Project Manager, the APM assists with project scheduling, budgeting, documentation, and communication to ensure timely delivery and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Project Manager in day-to-day project execution and coordination.

  • Assist in preparing and updating project schedules, budgets, and reports.

  • Track progress against milestones and help manage project deliverables.

  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to ensure timely material and labor delivery.

  • Review and process submittals, RFIs, change orders, and other project documents.

  • Maintain organized project files and logs (e.g., drawings, specs, change logs).

  • Attend project meetings and take detailed notes, distributing minutes as needed.

  • Assist in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and contract requirements.

  • Support communication between the project team, clients, and stakeholders.

  • Contribute to the preparation of closeout documents and final project reports.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.

  • 1–3 years of experience in construction or project coordination roles.

  • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera, or similar).

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification

  • Experience working on commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects

  • PMP, CAPM, or similar certification (optional but beneficial)

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
  • Mix of office and field environment; ability to visit active job sites.
