**POSITION OVERVIEW**

As a member of our Production Team, the Woodshop Lead is responsible for leading all in-house manufacturing and production of wood barricades and custom products. This includes but is not limited to cutting and preparing materials for use as substrates for sign production. Reporting to the Production Manager, the ideal candidate will be a team player who can work well under pressure and has the ability to perform tasks safely and independently. They will be able to maintain accuracy and attention to detail while completing repetitive tasks.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

* Oversee the cutting, painting, and assembly of wooden barricades
* Lead and motivate a small team of woodshop technicians
* Cut wood panels to size and send them to the sign shop for graphic application
* Assemble and paint various in-house fabricated products
* Utilize machinery to cut extruded panels to size and send them to sign shop for graphic application
* Lead the team in ensuring safe, efficient, and effective work
* Conduct toolbox meetings, perform monthly inspections, and ensure FLHA completion
* Maintain accurate stock and materials records
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment
* Complete machine repairs and maintenance as needed
* Other duties as assigned



**QUALIFICATIONS**

* Previous experience in a lead hand or supervisory position
* Safety mindset with experience leading safe work practices
* Ability to follow verbal and written plans/specifications for fabrication
* Experience with hand power tools, table saws, drill presses, and operating machinery
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly
* Basic computer skills and ability to utilize software
* Comfortability with Gmail, google drive, google sheets and spreadsheets



**HOURS OF WORK**

The typical work schedule will be Monday through Friday 6:30am – 3:30pm during the busy season and 8:00am – 4:30pm during the winter.
