About the Role:As Catering Support Staff, you will assist with multiple aspects of event service including catering, cashiering, and concession operations. You will work on an as-needed basis, with the flexibility to apply for shifts based on your availability.
Responsibilities:- Assist with event setup, service, and teardown.
Provide friendly and professional food and beverage service to guests.
Carry trays and serve in a timely and efficient manner.
Operate POS systems and handle cash/card transactions accurately when cashiering.
Prepare and serve food and beverages in concession stands.
Restock products and maintain inventory levels during events.
Follow food safety and sanitation standards.
Support the team with any additional event-related tasks.
Previous experience in catering, food service, cashiering, or concessions is an asset but not required.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

In this role you will have various missions such as but not limited to:
- Catering setup
- Buffet service
- Receptions - Bartending

About You
You are an experienced server who enjoys working in a team environment ensuring high quality service and customer satisfaction. You will be expected to provide prompt, friendly and professional service. You will be asked to provide superior customer service, serve food to customers at a limited number of tables, following proper etiquette, make appropriate food and beverage suggestions and answer questions regarding food preparation.
You will be required to write the food order and/or memorize the order, transmit the order to the kitchen, buffet service and receptions and high-end dinners. You will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing workstations and equipment and assisting with clearing and resetting tables. May participate in any other food service-related activities.
Minimum of 1 years of similar experience is required. You must demonstrate the ability to provide exceptional customer service, willingness to go above and beyond the minimum requirements. A high school diploma or similar experience will be considered an asset.

The Catering Managers at O&B Events are responsible for managing all inbound business. Through the event cycle of service, the specialist is thorough and detailed in all communications with clients, utilizing TripleSeat to ensure accurate event details are shared with the client and teams. - contributes to the annual sales targets of the events team, and is able to accurately produce a forecast and speak to the business they are producing
- Contributes to the venue goals by sharing ideas and collaborating with team members.
- Can identify a great piece of business & present to management for negotiation
- Anticipates the needs of the operations and kitchen side of the business unit
- Offers a positive presence and attitude towards the work, team & company
- Minimum 2 years’ experience coordinating a variety of events (inclusive of small, large and high profile functions)
- Prior understanding of equipment and event rentals is an asset
- Prior administrative experience and exposure to marketing and sales an asset
- Proven ability to work in a team environment with self-motivation and independent work ethic
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to engage clients
