Team members will partner with Roche Services & Solutions, Finance Enterprise Partners, and the Business to deliver many of Finance's core processes and deliverables while also driving process scaling/simplification/harmonization and progressing our digital ambition. **The Opportunity:**
As a member of eCoE, you will bring a strong technical expertise (relative to your experience) together with the ability to work in a self-aligning team with minimal hierarchy. You will be a catalyst for the Finance transformation and work effectively as an influencer, and leaning in as coach and catalyst to the Finance network as needed. You have a passion to pilot new approaches and constructively challenge the status quo. You can tolerate ambiguity.
+ keeping the PT (Pharma Technical) community in Canada connected to the rest of local / site finance as well as to the global PT finance for the delivery of their priorities, mainly for standard costing
+ taking the role of the catalyst enabling the value delivery of the PT OBC by prioritizing the right resources, right expertise to the right types of work & at the right time.
+ playing a critical role in driving the accuracy of PT P/L with a focus on the US by keeping the interfaces among FEPs, RSS and Basel PT finance team strong
+ understanding the changing system landscape of PT and building up the knowledge & expertise to support the other members of the PT OBC as well as broader PT finance.
+ To be able to deliver the responsibilities above, we need a solid S4 Hana understanding which requires digital capability & passion.
+ Interpreting quantitative data and qualitative information
+ Analyzing data that is generated through advanced analytics solutions
+ Data management and integration and/or data infrastructure and design
+ Hypothesis generation and testing

**Who you are:**
+ Holds a Bachelor's Degree in Finance or a Business-related discipline.
+ 10+ years of experience in Finance, in a global setting, with a notable emphasis on manufacturing and cost accounting business partnering.
+ A passion for change, simplification, and process improvement, as well as the ability to see through complexity and identify and remove waste
+ Resilience and ability to adjust to a fast-changing environment and to promote and apply the VACC leadership principles

Providing the highest quality of service with our operations to clients, with an emphasis on QHSE, technical solutions and client support.

Requires hands-on expertise in MPD operations, real-time data processing, and
automation of drilling workflows using Python.

The role requires a deep understanding of MPD methodologies, downhole dynamics, and the ability to develop analytical tools to optimize drilling
performance.


QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION


Minimum of bachelors degree in petroleum, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
Recently Graduated with +1 year MPD experience.
Has E.I.T. certification or ability to obtain E.I.T certification.
Shift work will be required, hybrid work from home and Opla's ROC office.
Willing to travel as required. Occasional travel to remote locations or outside of the country may be required.
Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, and scripting.
Experience working with real-time drilling data, machine learning algorithms, and IoT applications.
Familiarity with drilling hydraulics, pressure control, and wellbore stability.
Hands-on experience with MPD software, surface control systems, and well control methodologies.
Good communication, interpersonal & leadership skills.
Willingness to learn and ability to work well within a collaborative team.
Must be able to work unsupervised in a fast-paced and highly energetic environment.
Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Providing remote and on-site support to Opla personnel and clients.
Must understand and comply with all the safety rules and company policies of Opla.
Provide 24/7 engineering support for all ongoing operations.

  • Participate in and influence the vision for process transformation in four areas: people, process, tools, and data.
  • Support process specialists in improving their areas.

Job Description

Reporting to the Industrialization Business Process Manager, the Industrialization Process Improvement Engineer is responsible for supporting the improvement of manufacturing development (NPD), industrial engineering, and mechanical engineering processes.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Participate in and influence the vision for process transformation in four areas: people, process, tools, and data.
  • Support process specialists in improving their areas.
  • Support process specialists in validating improvements.
  • Support process specialists in operationalizing transformations.
  • Propose strategies to achieve improvement objectives.
  • Responsible for planning and deploying transformations.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of process-related materials.
  • Govern the management of industrialization tools (systems) (AVIX, PLM, MES, MRP, etc.).
  • Support users in performing work for the processes/tools under your responsibility
  • Serve as a link between the organization and the improvement team in your area of expertise
  • Perform centralized data configuration and validation services as needed

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • College or university education in industrial engineering
  • 0-5 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of spoken and written English & French in order to communicate with stakeholders outside Quebec
  • Solid business process improvement skills
  • Excellent knowledge of BRP’s manufacturing development processes (manufacturing and assembly)
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and SAP
  • Well‐developed synthesis, communication and networking skills
  • Strong ability to influence others and work as part of a team, with a great sense of collaboration
  • Openness to other cultures (Mexico)
  • Talent for analyzing, planning and organization
