**Position Summary**
We are looking for a detail-oriented finance professional to support consolidated financial reporting and compliance with Nestlé Accounting Standards and IFRS. This role collaborates with shared service centers and above-market teams to streamline reconciliation and reporting workflows, prepares journal entries and legal entity financial statements, and supports internal and external audits. The ideal candidate will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, cross-train within the Financial Services team, and assist with ad hoc reporting and dashboard development.
**A day in the life of a Financial Accounting Analyst:**
+ Analyzes and reports consolidated financial results (monthly, quarterly, and annual). Users include local management and Nestlé Group management. Works closely with the operating divisions and corporate functional groups, above market integrated business teams and business contacts at the worldwide headquarters.
+ Collaborate with shared service centers and above-market teams to streamline reconciliation and reporting workflows including analytical review and enquiries with management to ensure completeness, investigate and resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance with Nestlé Accounting Standards.
+ Respond to inquiries from internal stakeholders and assist in the preparation of ad hoc reports and dashboards.
+ Prepare periodic journal entries to support financial reporting ensuring data integrity and alignment with Nestlé Accounting Standards and IFRS
+ Support audit processes with preparation of legal entity financial statements, documentation and responding to audit queries
+ Participates in continuous improvement activities using Nestlé Continuous Excellence methodology such as performing walkthroughs of a particular reporting process, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing the change through automation or transferring the process to a shared service center.
+ Cross train with various pillars of excellence within the Financial Services team
+ Contribute to special and ad-hoc reporting projects

This role participates in business requirement workshops, analyzes functional gaps, and recommends solutions or workarounds. What you’ll do
Serve as Functional lead for the financial systems team in the implementation of Oracle Fusion G/L and Project Accounting and billing.

Job Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst - Taxation and Accounting reports to the Director, Consolidation & Taxation. The incumbent is responsible, along with their supervisor, for overseeing taxation activities within the organization, including sales taxes and income tax filings. They are responsible for keeping the organization informed of upcoming tax changes, including timelines and financial impact, as well as ensuring compliance with legal requirements. The ideal candidate has excellent knowledge of accounting and financial consolidation.

Responsibilities
The following fall under the responsibility of the Senior Financial Analyst. Responsibilities span across Canada, the United States, and the interpretation of the international structure:
Identify and implement tax planning/strategy opportunities for all tax types
Prepare and review quarterly and annual tax provision accounts
Prepare the consolidated tax provision and related note, and provide information to external auditors at year-end
Prepare and coordinate Canadian tax filings, and coordinate U.S. and international tax filings
Manage external audits related to sales taxes and income taxes
Coordinate and prepare sales tax filings and property tax remittances
Conduct tax research and stay informed of legislative changes
Coordinate documentation and ensure compliance with transfer pricing policies
Assist consultants with the preparation of R&D tax credit claims and identify new opportunities
Perform internal compliance reviews if needed
Clarify complex tax issues and communicate them to non-tax personnel
Participate in and plan for the tax implications of corporate acquisitions
Understand and actively engage with the international structure

Requirements
Minimum 4 years of experience
Proficiency in both French and English
CPA designation, with interest and knowledge in Canadian taxation
Strong background in accounting
Knowledge of U.S. tax law is an asset
US GAAP background (an asset)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong knowledge of Canadian tax legislation and research tools
Experience with financial statement consolidation
Skilled in using Excel pivot tables
Familiarity with US GAAP and IFRS standards and their implications
Understanding of sales tax and income tax legislation
Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and priority management skills
