What You Would Do in This RoleThe Network Administrator leverages specialized expertise to manage complex IT systems and network infrastructures, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable operations. This role involves designing advanced network architectures, leading significant projects, mentoring team members, and contributing strategically to IT initiatives.
- Network Architecture Design: Design and implement secure, reliable, and scalable network architectures for LAN, WAN, and WLAN environments.
- Advanced System Management: Oversee and maintain complex networking equipment and software to ensure optimal performance and maximum uptime.
- Security Administration: Manage network security, including configuring Palo Alto firewalls and VPNs, to protect company data and systems.
- Protocol Configuration: Configure and manage advanced networking protocols such as VLANs, Stacking, LACP, STP, BGP, QoS, VRRP, TCP/IP, and DHCP.
- WAN Management: Manage corporate-wide networks with a mix of WAN links (MPLS, VPLS, SD-WAN, PTP, etc.).
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor networks using tools like Zabbix, Wireshark, and SolarWinds; quickly diagnose and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
- Documentation: Document all installations, repairs, maintenance tasks, and network performance, providing comprehensive reports for transparency.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior and intermediate administrators, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
- Innovation: Identify opportunities for technological improvements and drive the implementation of innovative solutions.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: 5–8 years in system administration roles, with expertise in complex IT and network environments.
- Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), virtualization technologies, and network infrastructure.
- Networking Expertise: Proficiency in configuring Cisco / HP routers & switches, Cisco Meraki devices, and advanced networking protocols.
- Security Knowledge: Experience managing network security, including Palo Alto firewalls and VPNs.
- Monitoring Tools: Proficiency with network monitoring tools like Zabbix, Wireshark, and SolarWinds.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead projects and mentor team members effectively.

This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills required to install and configure Windows 10 desktops and devices in a Windows Server domain corporate environment. These skills include learning how to install and customize Windows 10 operating systems and apps, and configure local and remote network connectivity and storage. Students will also learn how to configure data security, device security, and network security, and maintain, update, and recover Windows 10.

Students learn how to plan and implement Windows 10 deployments in large organizations. Students also learn how to manage the Windows 10 installations after deployment to provide secure identity and data access using technologies related to Group Policy, Remote Access, and device registration. To support a variety of device and data management solutions, Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, and Microsoft Azure Rights
Management are introduced. These services are part of the Enterprise Mobility Suite, which provides identity and access management, and cloud-based device, application, and update management.
