We are currently looking for a **Class 1 Truck Driver** to assist our construction team in Revelstoke. The successful candidate will be an individual with a flexible schedule to work with our team on multiple civil construction projects throughout British Columbia. The right candidate will have the training and confidence to aid the construction team in projects.
**Expectations**
- Will be expected to operate dump trucks with triaxle pup trailers and tractors with step decks, or end dumps to transport materials to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Expected to perform minor preventative maintenance tasks and greasing, ensuring cleanliness, and maintenance of the trucks to uphold company standards.
- Assist in loading materials onto the truck using forklifts, wheel loaders, or other equipment when necessary.
- Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with provincial regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues on the route.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.
**Qualifications**
- Valid Class 1 driver's license with a clean commercial driver's abstract.
- Strong communication skills.
- General equipment operation experience is an asset, but experience driving dump trucks, or similar heavy vehicles is required.
- **Must** be able to drive a manual transmission.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as loading and unloading materials safely.

- Previous experience in hauling with a B-train, low-bedding, hauling gravel, and transporting materials to job sites

- Must keep a very tidy and clean cab, expect that polishing chrome and taking pride in truck is a requirement of employment
