About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Cloud Data Engineer to lead the development of our cloud infrastructure that powers AI/ML product pipelines from data ingestion and orchestration to model deployment and secure application delivery.

This is a deeply hands-on engineering role, responsible for designing, coding, and maintaining scalable, secure, multi-tenant data environments across AWS and Azure. You will play a central role in building infrastructure to support AI/ML use cases such as demand forecasting, predictive analytics, and real-time decision-making.

This is a hands-on, engineering-heavy role ideal for someone who thrives in high-responsibility environments, demonstrates sharp problem-solving skills, and takes initiative to independently deliver robust solutions from end to end.


Key Responsibilities

Cloud Data Engineering & Architecture

  • Architect and build scalable, secure, multi-tenant cloud data pipelines in AWS and Azure
  • Implement robust ETL/ELT pipelines and APIs to move and access data across Oracle, AWS, and Snowflake including ERP-to-cloud, cloud-to-ERP, and intra-cloud flows
  • Leverage AWS services (Glue, Lambda, S3, RDS, EventBridge), AWS Batch, Azure components, and orchestration tools like Airflow and Kedro to build resilient and maintainable pipelines; Enforce modularity and reusability.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform / OpenTofu; manage CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or ArgoCD.

AI/ML Infrastructure & MLOps

  • Build infrastructure to support AI/ML workflows (e.g. training, validation, versioning)
  • Integrate with experiment tracking tools (e.g. MLflow) and model lifecycle pipelines
  • Enable scalable model deployment in secure environments (containerized or cloud-native)
  • Support full ML Ops lifecycle: data prep, parameter tuning, model deployment, and monitoring, in close collaboration with AI/ML scientists.

Secure Application Deployment

  • Deploy and manage React or Python-based ML applications with secure user access
  • Ensure private networking, MFA, RBAC, and encryption best practices in Azure and AWS
  • Create CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) integrated with Docker/Kubernetes

Automation & DevSecOps

  • Design end-to-end automation for data movement, transformation, and model execution
  • Integrate automated testing, scanning, and rollback strategies into CI/CD pipelines
  • Maintain monitoring and logging with Prometheus, CloudWatch, or similar tools

Cross-Platform & Multi-Cloud Strategy

  • Build portable components deployable across AWS and Azure
  • Support integration of services like AWS Batch, AWS Glue, S3, Lambda, EventBridge, etc

ERP and Retail Context

  • Work with ERP-based datasets (Oracle), including complex relational structures
  • Understand the unique needs of AI applications in retail and supply chain analytics


Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Masters degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or Software Engineering
  • 5+ years of real-world experience in cloud data engineering, infrastructure, and deployment roles
  • Prior professional experience with AI/ML pipelines or applications is strongly preferred

Ingnierie & architecture des donnes cloud

  • Concevoir et btir des pipelines de donnes cloud scalables, scuriss et multilocataires sur AWS et Azure.
  • Implmenter des pipelines ETL/ELT et des API robustes pour dplacer et accder aux donnes entre Oracle, AWS et Snowflake (ERPcloud, cloudERP, intracloud).
  • Exploiter les services AWS (Glue, Lambda, S3, RDS, EventBridge), AWS Batch, composants Azure et outils dorchestration (Airflow, Kedro) pour garantir rsilience et maintenabilit, en privilgiant modularit et rutilisabilit.
  • Automatiser le provisionnement dinfrastructure avec Terraform/OpenTofu ; grer les pipelines CI/CD via Jenkins, GitHub Actions ou ArgoCD.

Infrastructure IA/ML & MLOps

  • Mettre en place linfrastructure pour les workflows IA/ML (entranement, validation, gestion des versions).
  • Intgrer des outils de suivi dexprimentation (MLflow) et orchestrer les pipelines de cycle de vie des modles.
  • Permettre le dploiement scalable des modles dans des environnements scuriss (conteneurs ou cloud natif).
  • Couvrir le cycle MLOps complet : prparation des donnes, ajustement des paramtres, dploiement des modles et surveillance, en collaboration troite avec les data scientists.

Dploiement dapplications scuris

  • Dployer et grer des applications ML bases sur React ou Python avec accs utilisateur scuris.
  • Mettre en uvre rseau priv, MFA, RBAC et chiffrement selon les meilleures pratiques Azure et AWS.
  • Crer des pipelines CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) intgrs avec Docker/Kubernetes.

Automatisation & DevSecOps

  • Concevoir lautomatisation de bout en bout pour le dplacement, la transformation des donnes et lexcution des modles.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Data Management Engineer to own, develop and operate our entire data pipeline, from collection to validation. In this critical role, you will be the bridge between our engineering teams, stakeholders, and external labeling partners. You will manage the full lifecycle of our datasets, ensuring the quality and integrity required to train and validate our advanced perception systems. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong technical background in coding, data handling and a knack for process improvement.


Key Responsibilities

Data Acquisition & Management

  • Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with internal teams to define data collection requirements and priorities, maintaining clear documentation on collection needs.
  • Data Collection: Perform on-site data recording using our systems and directly obtain datasets from key stakeholders or customers.
  • Data Storage & Archiving: Manage and organize large datasets across various storage solutions, including Google Cloud (GCloud) and local Network Attached Storage (NAS), ensuring data is secure, accessible, and up-to-date.

Data Processing & Validation

  • Lidar Pre-processing: Conduct initial alignment and pre-validation of raw Lidar point cloud data to ensure its quality and usability.
  • Data Validation & Quality Assurance: Design, Develop and Perform rigorous validation processes on labeled data received from vendors to confirm it meets our standards before being integrated into training or validation sets.
  • Dataset Management: Handle the strategic splitting of datasets for training and validation purposes. Identify and document errors or inconsistencies in current datasets and coordinate with labeling teams for corrections.
  • Validation & Regression Framework: Add new datasets into our validation framework, which includes creating precise Areas of Interest (AOIs) and generating new baseline performance metrics.

Labeling & Process Improvement

  • Labeling Coordination: Manage the end-to-end labeling process by sending data to our labeling partners, tracking their progress, and serving as the primary technical point of contact.
  • Documentation: Own and update all labeling documentation, including defining new classes and clarifying labeling instructions to ensure data consistency.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Continuously improve the metrics and reports used for our validation, performance and regression testing, adding new parameters as needed to enhance our evaluation framework.
  • Automation & Efficiency: Run, maintain, and improve our pre-labeling pipeline to increase the efficiency of our data operations.
  • Tool & Industry Research: Conduct industry research to identify and evaluate new tools and technologies that can make our labeling and data management processes more efficient.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale datasets and complex validation pipelines  for machine learning and computer vision applications.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python for automation and data manipulation.
  • Familiarity with data labeling processes and managing multiple labeling vendors.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience coordinating between technical teams and external vendors.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Working under the direction of the Sr. Technical Editor (Data Management), you are to research, analyze, markup and assemble build specific work research packages from multiple data sources such as Bills of Material (BOMs), engineering drawings, and vendor information. Perform manual update research and editing tasks as determined by the Sr. Tech Editor or Publications Coordinator when required.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Create manual section research packages by extracting data from all available sources such as engineering BOMs, product photos, supplier documents, engineering specs, engineering drawings, and use to identify changes or new info to existing bus parts data.
  • Effectively organize the assigned research information packages (both hard copy and electronic versions) in order of priority and project strategy so they can be completed and handed over to the illustration group within the deadlines given.
  • Complete all Team Center research work tasks as assigned by Technical Editors and following established work procedures.
  • Contact any engineering staff or Part Supplier to clarify and verify the accuracy of their data or to source new data if required. This is very important which requires proper communication and investigative skills in order to obtain the required information within the timeframe available for each project. Maintaining a good working relationship with each supplier.
  • Maintain proper records of part supplier (vendor) data requests and perform follow-up actions to ensure that data requested is correct and obtained when required.
  • Perform all research duties according to established procedures and guidelines and to proactively communicate with Technical Editors at any time when you are not certain.
  • Perform editing tasks as determined by the Sr. Tech Editor or Publications Coordinator when required to supplement any shortfalls of editing capacity. Those tasks can include; SRPM template cleaning, editing, statistic reports, mentoring staff and supplying alternative solutions.
  • Perform manual update recording and manual bulletin creation when required
  • Complete tasks within specified time schedule deadlines and perform quality control checks of all work before handing in.
  • Assign New Flyer part numbers to new OEM supplier parts.
  • Properly maintain and archive source documentation in both electronic and hard copy formats.
  • Collect and communicate to the Technical Editor all data inaccuracies identified during the project so they are promptly recorded into the update system.
  • Perform efficiently and effectively in a team environment.
  • Consult with Technical Editors for clarification and information.
  • Upgrade skills on new or updated software.

Requirements

  • Certification/diploma from recognized technical school as a Mechanical Technologist or equivalent workplace experience.
  • 3-5 years experience in interpreting Manufacturing BOMs and engineering drawings into service parts lists.
  • Heavy equipment/automotive parts manufacturing background.
  • Experience in sourcing vendor data.
  • Experience with Engineering Data Management systems such as TeamCenter.
  • Capable of working under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent investigative and communication skills in an engineering environment.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude.
  • Effective customer service and investigative skills.
  • Strong working knowledge in MS Office applications, Windows OS and network. Oracle database ERP system.
  • Working experience in the technical publishing industry as a data research technician is an asset.
