Our client, a leading Solutions Provider, is looking for a Senior AWS Infrastructure, Cloud Engineer with a focus on cloud migration to AWS. As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, ensuring it meets the highest standards of reliability, scalability, and security. Please note that role is a Remote based with 1-Day onsite in client’s Toronto Downtown office and that there are currently 3 open roles for this position.
Your experience you bring will include:
DevOps, DevSecOps, AWS CDK, AWS Services, Python, Networking, IAM, IaC, AWS Glue,
AWS Lambda, AWS Redshift
Previous experience in the Financial Industry is an asset.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Provision and manage AWS data services (EMR, Glue, Redshift, RDS), focusing on scalability and security.
· Utilize AWS CDK (TypeScript) for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate and standardize provisioning.
· Implement and maintain security measures across all AWS services, including S3, IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, CloudTrail, and CloudWatch
· Troubleshoot AWS data services infrastructure and optimize for performance.
· Demonstrate familiarity with cloud security best practices and networking (VPC, security groups)
· AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
· Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Strong conceptual and analytical skills - demonstrating outside-the-box problem-solving skills and ability to develop solution architecture designs.
Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture methodologies such as TOGAF with Archimate or the equivalent.
Bilingualism (French & English) - knowledge of English is required because you will be representing BRP in negotiations with vendors in the US and exchanging with stakeholders around the world.

**The Role:** Cloud Engineer
**Location** **:** Calgary, Canada
**The Team: S&P Global Enterprise Data Organization** team is a creative team of experts collaborating across divisions and driving continuous improvements in platform innovation and usability.
**The Impact:** Joining our team in Canada, the candidate will be responsible for supporting and expanding our cloud infrastructure, monitoring and alerting frameworks, onboarding/migration projects, and interacting with the wider DevOps, QA, and development teams. We are looking for someone with proven DevOps experience who has development and operational skills and can deliver a secure and structured automated solutions to our operational tasks.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Collaborate with software development teams to improve application reliability, performance, security and scalability.
+ Provide BAU Production support, and resolve issues either spotted by monitoring or reported by users before causing business impact
+ Develop scripts in Terraform, Python and Unix shell scripting to automate tasks and streamline processes.
+ Design, implement, and manage infrastructure using Terraform on AWS cloud platform utilizing best practices
+ Comfortable with writing database queries and performing database management with an added advantage of experience in MongoDB, AWS storage solutions
+ Set up and configure monitoring solutions, including Grafana, PagerDuty, Splunk to ensure system health and respond to incidents promptly.
+ Availability to occasionally participate in weekend production releases/deployments and availability to sometimes discuss handovers with teams in Europe and Asia at the early mornings or late afternoon.
**What We're Looking For:**
Basic Qualifications:
+ 5+ years of relevant DevOps and Software Engineering experience.
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications.
+ Proven experience working with AWS cloud technologies, GitHub, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
+ Familiar with Database and Database query (MongoDB experience preferred but not mandatory, good experience on scripting or coding would be a plus)
+ Familiarity with monitoring solutions/logging solutions such as PagerDuty/Splunk and other industry-standard tools.
+ Lunix and networking knowledge. Good understanding of AWS network configurations such as Routing, DNS, Load Balancing, IAM, security group
+ Demonstrated problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to identifying, resolving issues and raising improvement opportunities
+ Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and handle multiple priorities.
+ Good written and verbal communication skills, including experience speaking to technical and business audiences.
+ Be able to work independently, or drive a group of people, to work on improvement projects.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Docker Certified Associate, MongoDB certified
