Job Description
We are looking for a solution architect (SA) who will report to the manager of solution architecture. The SA will primarily define the solution architecture for specific projects but will also work with the business leaders to build a roadmap and alignment of solutions. As part of his/her role, the SA will review and understand business requirements for a project in order to design a technology solution that will meet those requirements while respecting the guiding principles of the Enterprise Architecture within the actual BRP context.
YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
- Provide an architectural conception of the solution regarding business, application, information and technology domains via the solution architecture design document.
- Develop and implement infrastructure solutions to meet client needs. This involves assessing client requirements, selecting appropriate infrastructures and network services and designing scalable and secure architecture.
- Provide expertise in migrating existing applications and infrastructure to the cloud. This includes performing cloud readiness assessments, planning migration strategies, and ensuring a seamless transition with minimal downtime.
- Ensure infrastructure solutions adhere to industry standards and compliance requirements. This involves implementing security protocols, managing data encryption, and configuring cloud security services.
- Partner with the organization to understand organizational and departmental strategy and agree on information systems solutions to meet the needs.
- Estimate cost, and prepare business cases for IT solutions, considering infrastructure, licences, development and support.
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related study, or equivalent project-related experience.
- Minimum of ten years of experience in IT, with at least five years in information system design.
- In-depth experience designing and implementing information solutions, with specialization in IT infrastructure (Server architecture (Windows and Linux), VDI, Virtualization, Networking projects).
- Strong Knowledge of enterprise networking, cyber security, identity management systems, Backup and Recovery, Monitoring tools, IaC.
- In-depth experience with Microsoft technologies (Azure, Sharepoint, OneDrive, M365 etc.)
- Knowledge of public Cloud technologies (IaaS, CaaS, SaaS, PaaS) running on Azure, GCP and AWS.
- Knowledge of Agile methodology.
- Experience in a factory IT environment.
- Strategic business acumen and understanding of organization strategy and ability to design information systems to deliver that strategy.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to lay audiences. Some experience of working with board-level stakeholders.
- Team player with experience leading and collaborating cross-team to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills - demonstrating outside-the-box problem-solving skills and ability to develop solution architecture designs.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture methodologies such as TOGAF with Archimate or the equivalent.
- Bilingualism (French & English) - knowledge of English is required because you will be representing BRP in negotiations with vendors in the US and exchanging with stakeholders around the world.

You will work closely with stakeholders across the business and technical teams to ensure that architecture decisions align with organizational goals and industry best practices.
What You’ll Do:
As part of the TULLOCH Engineering team, you will:
- Design and implement cloud-first architectures leveraging platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Translate defined business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Define integration strategies for enterprise applications, SaaS products, and legacy systems.
- Develop architecture blueprints, diagrams, and technical documentation for proposed solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and governance across the software development lifecycle.
- Ensure solutions comply with cybersecurity, data governance, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with IT and Software teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and automated deployments.
- Mentor engineers and development teams in solution design best practices.
Who You Are:
- 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect, Cloud Architect, or similar role in enterprise IT.
- Proven experience designing and implementing solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong understanding of enterprise IT systems, networking, security, databases, and middleware.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- You can exercise independent judgment within defined parameters and in alignment with business objectives.
- You are willing to travel periodically as needed.
The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred). Additionally, you should have:
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
- Experience in hybrid cloud or multi-cloud strategies.
- Familiar with MS Fabric integrations.
- Strong leadership ability in cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
- Valid Class G driver’s licence.

We are looking for a Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) - Cloud and AI Apps who is passionate about driving our customers' application innovation & AI transformation on the Microsoft platform. As part of this role, you will be responsible for technical customer engagements, working with the most challenging and exciting projects within Microsoft Azure and GitHub customer base. This customer-facing position is a hands-on technical role spanning across design, build, and operations with a focus on issue resolution to remove customer technical obstacles and adoption challenges. You will work with customers to lead deep technical architecture discussions and engage with senior customer executives, enterprise architects, platform engineers and developers. You will collaborate with a variety of internal and external teams to develop pilots and oversee implementation projects, ensuring technical blockers are removed on adoption.

+ Act as the voice of the customer by driving new feedback into engineering, insights on usage and application patterns and help accelerate solution delivery through Architectural Reviews, Proof of Concepts/MVP applications and environment setup.
+ Support customer skilling by making skilling recommendations or delivering technical discussions, workshops and other cloud readiness activities and ensure that solution exhibits performance, security, scalability, maintainability and reliability upon deployment.
+ Consumption (Cloud & Support) growth - Develop opportunities to drive Customer Success business results & help Customers get value from their Microsoft investments and identify resolutions to Customer blockers by leveraging subject matter expertise and use internal Microsoft processes for escalations to support and engineering.
+ Drive customer/partner relationships to anticipate, identify, escalate, and work to resolve technical blockers to accelerate consumption and solution implementation and proactively uses knowledge of the products, services, and value propositions of Microsoft and its competitors in customer/partner conversations to identify growth opportunities based on knowledge of customer/partner needs.
+ Learn new technologies or services that are aligned to customer needs and common patterns seen in Cloud application development and stay current with the latest Azure, AI and GitHub capabilities, cloud application patterns and be a practitioner of one or more enterprise languages .Net, Python, Java, JavaScript/Node.js, etc. and related frameworks.
