Objective: The Community Engagement Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing strategies that increase brand awareness, build community partnerships, and generate client leads. This role combines business development, community outreach, and marketing execution to achieve measurable growth in both client acquisition and retention.
Reports to: Management Team
Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):- Analyze market conditions and trends, including, but not limited to, competitors and influence centers; the overall goal is to explore areas of business opportunity.
- Identify all local influence centers (hospitals, senior living communities including independent, assisted, memory care, rehabilitation, respite care, hospice, home health, physician practices, and other related healthcare providers) to determine referral sources and build lasting and meaningful relationships.
- Develop and manage new referral sources through face-to-face meetings, networking, and digital strategies.
- Coordinate and manage digital marketing functions with the direction and collaboration of leadership/owner.
- Personally visit and arrange meetings with people responsible for or in a position to refer clients.
- Contact and engage with at least 8 to 10 referral sources daily to develop relationships and gain referrals.
- Utilize monthly marketing calendar and plan to coordinate activities.
- Organize daily network and relationship-building tasks.
- Arrange presentations of Senior Helpers services at meetings in healthcare and senior-related organizations.
- Attend trade shows, conferences, and community networking events representing Senior Helpers services. Network with others in the industry to develop additional referral sources.
- Assist in coordinating and managing various marketing and advertising methods, including social media, digital marketing, direct mail, and print ads, with assistance from the Franchisor’s Marketing team.
- Maintain and manage a (CRM) Customer Relationship Management system.
- Develop and maintain weekly activity reports and track KPIs and marketing data.
- Meet or exceed sales objectives.
- Always represent the company with professionalism.

Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field or three years of related work experience in marketing, sales, and/or business development in home care, home health, or healthcare in lieu of degree
- Minimum of one year’s experience in the healthcare industry developing and managing a sales strategy preferred.
- Must have exceptional organizational, rapport-building skills and excellent follow-up, be an active listener and attentive to detail, as well as prioritize tasks in a changing environment.
- Must have excellent communication skills. Ability to maintain consistent relationships with prospects and referral sources.
- Self-starter who is solutions driven, motivated, and results-oriented to maximize growth potential.

**Essential** **Responsibilities**
+ Work in collaboration with internal and external partners to lead all Indigenous engagement initiatives and opportunities for GEV in Canada, including, but not limited to talent and retention, training, development and education, community engagement and business development.
+ Work collaboratively with the GE Vernova businesses to lead the development and execution of an Indigenous engagement strategy.
+ Develop and oversee the execution of Indigenous Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)

**Job Description**
**AECOM** is seeking a passionate **Community Engagement and Communication Coordinator** to be based in **Kitchener, Ontario** to ensure tremendous outcomes from the work we do with our clients. This is a temporary contract position expected to last 6 months . This position will report to the Manager, Community Engagement & Communication.
As part of the Environment Business Line, in the Impact Assessment and Permitting Group, on the Community Engagement and Communications Team, you'll be responsible for driving forward our ambitious plans to enhance our service offering through your work with a close-knit team of engineering specialists, professionals, and technical staff. This position is accountable for driving, planning, and carrying out community engagement and communication plans, working collaboratively with specialist teams as part of environmental assessment (EA), impact assessment, and permitting processes, and contributing to the development of our strategic community engagement and communication practice.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
+ Assisting multi-disciplinary teams and project managers to develop strategic communication and community engagement plans and activities on behalf of our clients.
+ Supporting tracking and reporting on the results of consultation and engagement.
+ Assisting with public and stakeholder engagement activities and tactics, including in-person and virtual workshops, advisory committees, community meetings, and public open houses.
+ Supporting the development of communication materials including key messages, FAQs, presentations, notices, storyboards, and discussion guides.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Environmental Planning, or other related fields.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ A degree or professional designation is preferred (such as Communication, or Environmental Planning), although proven practical experience is essential.
+ At least 2 years working in a similar role in the public or private sectors.
+ At least 2 years of professional writing experience including plain language, AODA, web content, internal, and external communications.
+ Strong analytical, planning, organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
+ Excellent interpersonal communication skills; this role requires continuous interaction with team leaders, client management, and the public.
+ A valid driver's license and access to transportation.
+ Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and remotely if required.
+ Knowledge of the Canadian regulatory and policy context, Federal and Provincial Impact Assessment processes - including leading practice in communication and engagement and/ or Indigenous engagement and participation.
+ Being bilingual in English and French would be an asset
+ Experience with government relations, media relations, public relations, stakeholder analysis, and facilitation.
+ Strong knowledge of project coordination/ management concepts and processes.
+ Membership in or accreditation from IAP2, CPRS, IABC, IAF is an asset.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $28 to $3.

Job Summary
The Community Engagement and Resource Specialist nurtures trust-based relationships and shares 211 Alberta knowledge with communities outside Calgary and Edmonton, especially in rural areas. Duties and Responsibilities
Community Engagement, Outreach, and Promotion
- Work with communities, organizations, and local leaders to create awareness strategies for 211 Alberta, ensuring local priorities and strengths are reflected.
- Identify eligible organizations for inclusion in the 211 Alberta database and support them in listing their services.
- Collaborate with the 211 Alberta Community Engagement team to design and adjust local engagement strategies in response to feedback and evolving needs.
- Attend relevant community gatherings, sharing information about 211 Alberta in ways that respect local protocols and cultural contexts.
- Build and sustain reciprocal relationships with community agencies, organizations, governments, Elders, and community groups.
- Act as a bridge between 211 Alberta and communities, ensuring communication flows both ways and is rooted in respect.
- Identify resource gaps, barriers, and community needs to inform 211 database and further outreach planning.
Reporting and Documentation
- Keep accurate records of engagement activities, community insights, and opportunities for growth.
- Support the Community Engagement Manager in preparing regular reports.
- Complete monthly expense reports for reimbursement of eligible expenses.
Other
- Build strong working relationships with 211 Alberta colleagues across departments to share community perspectives, respond to community needs and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Prepare and deliver learning sessions for 211 staff about the unique needs, values, and resources of the communities you represent, supporting culturally responsive and empathetic service delivery.
- Prepare and deliver informational or promotional presentations to the public or interest groups as requested.
Qualification
- Diploma or Degree in Human Services, Social Sciences, Business, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in community engagement, development, or related field; equivalent combinations considered.
- Gender-Based Analysis+
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Class 5 drivers license, personal vehicle, clean drivers abstract, and 2M liability coverage.
- Experience working in rural, remote, and/or Indigenous communities is an asset.
- Successful completion of a police information and vulnerable persons check.

Major Responsibilities Community Engagement * Help grow KL by building and leveraging community relationships * Participates in large community events with the KL leadership team, using these events as an opportunity to transition one-time visitors into other church activities * Identifies opportunities to bring new activities and information to the KL community, through events like guest speakers, books studies, etc. * Seeks new opportunities to make use of the church building, increasing rental revenue in partnership with property management staff, the Church Coordinator and Property Ministry Lead Marketing and Communications * Creates content and seeks to use social media and other tactics to promote church events and activities, increasing attendance and growing the KL community * Partners with event volunteer coordinators to use social media to promote church activities * Partners with Church Coordinator and Financial Administrator to share content between church social media accounts, the church website and digital signage Church Engagement * Interacts and engages with the congregation before and after worship services and church activities * Plans and communicates effectively so that church events are supported by the appropriate number of volunteers * Partners with the ministry team to support new activities and programs for the KL faith-community, through events like guest speakers, books studies, etc. * Collaborates with volunteer leaders of large community events like the Art Show, Live Nativity, Pageant and Flea Market to ensure the events are properly supported * Provides orientation and training to volunteers as required * Manages volunteer and church personnel coverage for the nursery, KL Kids and other key Sunday activities * Thinks and plans strategically to build an appropriate pipeline of volunteers, including, participating in succession planning for key (volunteer) leadership positions within the church * Contributes to the rolling 12-month calendar of events in partnership with the Lead Minister, Church Council, the UCW, and the Church Coordinator with appropriate spacing to avoid volunteer burnout * Ensures volunteers who are working with children, youth and the elderly have up to date Vulnerable Sector Screening checks. Working with the Church Coordinator, ensures these records are retained and kept up to date Other Responsibilities * Creates and manages a volunteer database for the church (in consultation with Lead Minister, Church Council, and ministry and committee leaders) * Participates in the weekly KL staff meeting and provides updates during Council Meetings * Other duties as assigned Working Conditions * This is a full-time contract role – the hours of work are a minimum of 35 hours per week (not generally 9-5 as our CCEL will regularly work evenings and weekends as indicated below) * It is expected that the CCEL will generally work on-site at KL located at 85 The Kingsway, Etobicoke, ON.
