**Job Description:**
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Construction Field Coordinator** to join our team! Parsons / Colas Canada is adding a Field Coordinator to support the delivery of the Edmonton Valley Line West LRT Project. The Coordinator works closely with the project team to coordinate the project to the satisfaction of the client, consistent with the costs, schedule, and contractual requirements. Will be responsible for coordination of all production requirements related to concrete, including but not limited to safety, quality, administration, scheduling, cost controls, client/ subcontractor/ craft communication and management. Heavy civil earthworks or LRT experience is required.
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Ensure the Construction is in full compliance with the Project Agreement, including matters relating to quality, safety, environment, and life cycle performance, such as Project's ECO Plan, Health and Safety Plan, and all applicable legislation.
+ Review and understand project schedule.
+ Facilitates the installation of equipment and components for project to ensure contractors can fulfill all obligations according to approved methods, specifications and schedules
+ Serves as liaison with project management reporting on inspections, subcontracting, progress and delays.
+ Participates in project meetings and facilitates regularly-scheduled meetings related to BIM execution and project deliverables.
+ Supports integration of project data such as, but not limited to: schedule, estimate, documentation, cost reports and performance data, etc
+ Interprets designs and drawings for technicians.
+ Tracks RFIs, site drawings, As-built drawings, and other project documents.
+ Proactively identifies and works to resolve any site issues that may impede project delivery.
+ Provides technical knowledge and input to assist installing contractors.
+ Must be able to work on-site for the duration of the project

**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in engineering or construction-related field, or equivalent construction-related work experience, as well as 3+ years of experience in field construction is required.
+ Minimum of 1 year Project Coordinator experience with a General Contractor on heavy civil construction projects
+ Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, project teams and subtrades
+ Strong knowledge of construction specifications, methods and procedures - Working knowledge of scheduling, estimating and subcontracts
+ Proficient user of project control software applications, including AutoCAD, MS Project and Microsoft Office Suite
+ Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written

**Job Description:**
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Communications Systems Site Coordinator to join our team! The role includes coordination of the design with the construction requirements, follow-up on all activities including manufacturing, factory testing, transport, delivery, storage, installation and Testing & Commissioning (T&C) for the discipline, ensure proper integration with the interfacing and overarching systems, handover activities as well as follow-through on the post construction activities such as performance demonstration during the defect notification period, until the final handover of the work package
**What You'll Be Doing:**
The candidate will perform the following tasks under the supervision of the PM:
+ Review the vendor documents and administer the Aconex review process with the relevant parties: lead designer, RAMS, Quality, T&C, etc.
+ Review the Designer's documents for the various facilities for constructability
+ Package the vendor documents for submission to the City
+ Manage the comments from the City's review (ROCO) and their resolution with the vendors' engineers and lead designer
+ Administer the procurement of the equipment both at the receiving end from the vendors and dispatching to Installer for on-site installation
+ Aid in the resolution of interface issues that may arise between two or more interfacing vendors with the objective of achieving resolution and closure on all relevant Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
+ Coordinate the integration of Communications Systems on EVLW with those on the existing Stage 1 project
+ Lead the weekly progress meetings on behalf of the PM (as needed), record and circulate the minutes of meeting
+ Lead/attend the technical meetings with the Designer and vendor(s) where specific technical issues get discussed and resolved
+ Attend Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) events as required in Canada and abroad
+ Review and follow through the vendors' and Installer's schedules, both main schedules and 3 weeks look-ahead
+ Work with the MIP Installation team to ensure site queries that arise get answered timely
+ Schedule and lead on behalf of COMMS any required installation coordination meetings with Facilities and other MIP subs
+ Track progress for design, ICDs, RFIs, procurement, installation and other relevant KPIs
+ Follow applicable safety policies and procedures and enforce their application by subcontractor(s) and direct reports
+ Ensure/enforce conformance of the Communications Systems activities and deliverables to the project's quality requirements
+ As the project progresses beyond the construction phase, the role will transition to:
+ T&C-related tasks such as reviewing Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and System Integration Testing (SIT) procedures and witnessing the execution of SATs and SITs
+ Follow-up on snags and seek resolution
+ Coordinate the final close-out / turnover documentation: O&M manuals, training manuals, as-builts, spare parts lists and deliveries, and warranty certificates
+ Support the post-execution activities in the Infrastructure Performance Demonstration (IPD) phase in relation to Communications Systems:
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in engineering or construction-related field, or equivalent construction-related work experience, as well as 5+ years of experience in field construction is required. Experience in the construction of large civil/structural and/or industrial projects at domestic and/or foreign locations is preferred.
+ Broad technical knowledge and project coordinating experience in Communications Systems on railways projects: Communications Transport System/Fiber Optics (CTS/FO), CCTV, Public Address (PA), Visual Message Signage (VMS), Access Control, Telephony, Radio and WiFi
+ Knowledge of SCADA and its interfacing systems/devices is a plus
+ General understanding of interfaces: system to system; system to facility; system to Light Rail Vehicle (LRV) etc.
+ Excellent communications and problem-solving skills; ability to recognize and analyze gaps; and a team player
+ English proficiency is mandatory (reading / writing / speaking) - French is considered an asset
+ AFP / PPP / P3 construction project work experience is an asset
+ PMP or Prince 2 certification is a plus
+ Ability to negotiate the terrain of an in-process construction site, including climbing stairs and ladders, steep/ slippery terrain, walking, and working outdoors in all types of Edmonton weather and conditions

Job DescriptionThe Project Coordinator is responsible to organize, administer and control project activities, under the direction and supervision of a Project Manager. The Project Coordinator will support and collaborate with the Project Manager and Superintendent in overseeing and managing their assigned projects.
- Responsible for coordination of project documentation, which includes, but not limited to: meeting minutes, Change Orders/Site Instructions, Owner's Instructions, Shop Drawings and Drawing Log, draft Progress Claims, field notices and sustainability requirements including LEED, Waste Management, Erosion and Sediment Control and Materials Testing.
- Set up and maintain project reporting procedures: cost reports, project status reports, document drawing control, shop drawing document control.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs (RFI, Vendor/Subcontractor, Purchase, Owner etc.), track responses and advise stakeholders.
- Assist in the management of trade contractor site meetings, RFIs, invoices and control document process.
- Manage all project administration activities including payroll, timekeeping, labour coding, equipment coding, purchase- order coding, and safety reporting.
- Review construction plans for compliance with all applicable codes, regulations and ordinances such as plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and structural.
- Technical diploma in an appropriate construction-related field (CET), or equivalent construction experience.
- Two or more years of experience as a Project Coordinator with a general contractor .
- Able to read blueprints, schematics, field drawings and plans
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe or Bluebeam Revu.
- A solid understanding of all construction trades, safety and construction techniques.
- Knowledge of local, provincial and federal workplace compliance regulations, ordinances and legislation.

**Responsibilities**
Field Engineering:
- Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision
- Perform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining percentage of completed/installed materials and work
- Assist in the preparation of work plans and work packages
- Assist in field surveying and work layout support including elevation, control points, and compilation of as-built data
- Assist in compiling, processing, and confirming daily labor timesheets
- Assist in the preparation of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA's)
- Participate in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, mass safety meetings, and safety training
- Order and schedule material deliveries
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate work groups on the jobsite
- Supervise field operations
Office Engineering:
- Perform material takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and other contract documents
- Perform basic engineering calculations and technical drafting to support field operations
- Assist engineers to gather and prepare data for submittal or transmittal to the customer, vendors, subcontractors, governmental agencies, and internal use
- Participate in the preparation of purchase orders and subcontracts, performing minor solicitations and purchasing as requested
- Schedule maintenance and performing updates as directed by others
- Assist in the maintenance of basic project recordkeeping and correspondence functions including daily reports, photographs, requests for information (RFIs), and memorandums
- Enter data into the job cost system and participate in reviewing cost reports with jobsite management
- Assist in generating change orders and as-built data to be reviewed by the Project Manager
- Provide field support and supervise subcontractor operations
Estimating:
- Assist in reviewing and analyzing historical data relative to the project, incorporating various productions and costs appropriate in preparation of a bid
- Complete a plan and specification review for an assigned project, assessing the risk areas and bringing them to the attention of the Senior Estimator
- Complete material and quantity takeoffs according to bid documents
