Essential Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage design and construction projects for municipal infrastructure.
  • Supervise and manage construction inspection staff on various types of construction projects.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technolgy or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)  or C.E.T. / C. Tech. designation is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Minimum 8-10  years of construction supervision or management experience, ideally in infrastructure, municipal, or commercial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, contract administration, and OPSS specifications.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with construction management software and tools (e.g., MS Project).
  • Ability and willingness to travel to job sites as required.
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license.

  • Ensure quality checks are completed in timely manner directly after task completion for client acceptance and sign off
  • Coordinate with field supervision to ensure equipment is being utilized in the most cost-efficient way and managed when it's no longer required on the project
  • Direct role in selecting, mobilizing, and demobilizing field supervision, work crews, and workers to support the schedule and contract requirements
  • Other projects & duties as assigned

What We Are Looking For:

  • Journeyman Lineman or Journeyman Electrician Certificate, is required
  • Minimum of five (5) years related experience with overhead and underground electrical work, is required
  • Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Project Management, an engineering discipline related to the company's work, or similar technical degree would be an asset and or Combination of relevant experience will be considered
  • Demonstrated knowledge of main construction office processes; project set-up; subcontract management; change orders; RFI''s; closeout
  • Able and willing to frequently travel (up to 80%) to field/on-site with work hour flexibility to accommodate project/site schedule
  • Result oriented individual with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and timelines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment
  • Ability to identify problems/issues and generates solutions and makes sound decisions using standard procedures
