Thesuccessful candidate will assume responsibility for providing onsite support to the superintendent and project manager and act as a liaison between our project site and the head office staff.

Task and Responsibilities:
Assisting in implementing and monitoring the quality control, safety and environmental programs
Quantity surveying, quantity review and system input.
Coordinate field detail, site inspections and liaising with field subcontractors.
Assist site inspectors with the reporting function.
Filing system set-up and maintenance, establishing/maintaining/monitoring document control.
Maintain daily communication with site superintendents and record daily construction activity.
Produce and log photographic record.
Preparation of daily site reports.
Assist in preparation of labour reports and cost reports.
Expedite materials (in conjunction with Project Manager).
Coordinate and assist with information distribution to subcontractors and own forces.
Maintain as-built drawings.
Maintain budgets and cost forecasts.
Participate in post project review with key project personnel.
Education and Experience Required:
Post-secondary education - Diploma, or BSc Degree in Engineering, Construction Coordination or Forestry an asset.
Skills Required:
It would be desirable for a Project Coordinator to possess the following skills:
Organizational skills, time management and project specific management abilities.
Effective communication skills both written and verbal for interface with clients and coworkers.
Able to work in a team environment (Engineering, Purchasing, Estimating, Construction, etc.).
Customer-focused in defining quality and establishing priorities.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong technical skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Location of Employment:
The Project Coordinator will be involved with work at various project sites across Canada and most times will fly-in-fly-out to site locations. LOA is provided. * Support field operations with coordination, cost control, scope creep, change management, planning, scheduling and estimating.
* Create project look ahead, daily, weekly and monthly progress reports for review by the Project Manager.
* Become thoroughly knowledgeable with the project's contract documents, drawings, specifications and scope of work.
* Assist in the development of the project schedule with input from other project management and operations personnel.
* Prepare and transmit submittals (drawings, materials, vendors) to client for approval.
* Coordinate material deliveries as required to meet the project schedule and on-site needs.
* Provide guidance for operations personnel in completing on-site material receiving documentation.
* Receive and log-in drawings and other contract documents, maintain document control log; ensure that current drawings are issued to the field; void drawings are retrieved and filed as required.
* Field estimating/change orders as well as change management procedures.
* Provide leadership in safety and quality performance and ensure due diligence in client and regulatory compliance.
* Reporting to Project Managers all concerns, issues and performance of the project.
* Respond to information requests from Estimating in preparation of bids.
* Communicate with the client during project execution.
* Administrative duties as required, booking camp, flights, etc.
* Liese with office admin and HR staff to advise of site personnel time off, terminations, etc.
* Any other duties as required by the project management team.
**Education/Qualifications/Training**
* 2+ years working in a similar role preferrable for a heavy civil or industrial construction company.
* Project Coordination experience specifically related to piling, shoring and coring is preferred.
* CET designation preferred or working towards one.
* An engineering degree or working towards one would be considered an asset.
* Must be proficient in English, both verbally and written.
* Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills - one drive, power point, outlook, calendar, word, excel, etc.
* Experience reading blueprints required.
