**Senior Marketing Copywriter**
**Location:** Toronto, ON
**Type:** Full-time Contract (1 year, with potential for extension)

Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for writing compelling marketing copy? We're seeking a Senior Marketing Copywriter to join an energetic, collaborative creative team with a leading organization in Toronto. In this role, you'll craft campaigns and materials that drive business growth, boost brand awareness, and convert leads across multiple platforms.

**What You'll Do**
+ Write engaging, conversion-focused copy for video scripts, demand generation emails, campaign landing pages, event materials, and more
+ Develop original content that attracts, inspires, and converts prospective customers
+ Interpret creative briefs and transform ideas into compelling messages that resonate with target audiences
+ Convert complex product or technical concepts into easy-to-understand and motivating copy
+ Help shape and implement strategic marketing themes, offering creative iterations and options for review
+ Collaborate closely with marketing teams to align messaging and campaign objectives
+ Ensure all content is polished, error-free, and adheres to brand guidelines
+ Present your work and thinking confidently to business partners and leadership
+ Research target personas and leverage insights to better inform demand generation messaging
+ Track and analyze the effectiveness of your copy, using results to inform future projects
+ Manage several projects with moving deadlines efficiently and independently
**What You Bring**
+ 5-8 years of professional copywriting experience, ideally in B2B or agency settings
+ Proven ability to write for a variety of channels, including video scripts
+ Strong editing and proofreading skills with attention to detail
+ Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
+ Data-driven approach-comfortable measuring, reporting, and optimizing copy performance
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership
+ Post-secondary education required

**Job Summary:**
The outdoors, by nature, is a place that inspires. This role plays a big part in making that happen. As part of our internal creative agency, the Senior Copywriter will be the voice behind each brand in the Vail portfolio. This person should have a mastery of shaping brand voices to communicate ideas that connect with guests in such a way they can't wait to visit one of the many resorts in the network.
This role requires a person that can think strategically and is able to make creative leaps from brief to executions. They are viewed as a creative expert and leader in their discipline and can present work to stakeholders in a persuasive and effective manner.
**Job Specifications:**
+ Starting Wage: $80,000.00 - $00,000.00

**Job Responsibilities:**
+ Write. You will write some of the best copy of your career. Headlines. Body copy. Emails. OOH. Video scripts. If it needs words you will be the one to pen them.
+ Use your craft to develop strong copy solutions that accurately represent the brands and lines of business across the enterprise.
+ Lead conceptual projects from start to finish, including partnership with internal and external creatives, working closely with creative directors and account teams.
+ Collaborate with a diverse mix of creatives, freelancers, producers, stakeholders to craft best-in-class marketing across a wide range of verticals, disciplines and markets.
+ Work from briefs to come up with ideas that are on-strategy and best-in-class creative solutions with outstanding copy being a central focus.
+ Be responsible for the craft, execution, and elevating the quality of a range of copywriting projects.
+ Present the work with a strong strategic lens and creative expertise inclusive of understanding art direction and design choices to stakeholders at all levels.
+ Develop brand voices and then ensure executions align to tones in a manner that propels the brands forward.
+ Provide guidance to freelance writers to ensure brands stay on tone.
+ Help grow and develop the team's creative culture.
+ And, of course, you'll probably head to the mountains from time to time.
+ Incredible copywriting skills and storytelling abilities, specifically able to craft attention-grabbing headlines for digital and email placements.
+ Concepting and executing campaigns while meeting set deadlines
+ Grow creative talent and develop a strong, positive team culture that inspires the company
+ Lead and champion creative vision in partnership with internal clients
+ Translate business objectives outline in briefs into clear creative strategies
+ Keep a pulse on new and emerging trends that impact the culture of our category and beyond
+ Taking constructive feedback and building upon it for a better outcome
+ Manage multiple projects at once, ensuring they stay on timelines and meet deadlines
+ Mastery of puns and light-hearted wit, most importantly knowing when and when not use both
**Job Requirements:**
+ 6+ years in a copywriting field, ad agency and/or internal brand
+ Exceptional copywriting, verbal, and editing skills
+ Able to use/learn project management tools to manage creative projects
+ All-around positive outlook

The expected Total Compensation for this role is 80,000.00 - 100,000.00. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
