Worksite Safety is looking to expand its growing team of classroom instructors. The successful candidate will be a certified Red Cross Instructor with a love for training others, excellent public speaking skills, and experience with occupational health and safety to draw on.
We are looking for part-time First Aid instructors to deliver 8 to 32 hours of First Aid training weekly at our training locations throughoutEdmonton, Alberta, which may also include training sessions at client locations. This position could include weekend, weekday or a combination of both, depending on the candidate. There is an opportunity to move into a full-time role eventually. The Health & Safety Instructor reports to the Manager, Instructor-Led Training. As a Red Cross training partner, we require candidates to have activeCanadian Red Cross Instructor certification.
As a Health & Safety Instructor (First Aid CPR) yourkey responsibilitiesare:
- Teaching students through discussions, provided audio-visual presentations, and hands-on equipment training
- Preparing, administering, and marking tests
- Organizing, filing, and submitting digital and hardcopy student records in a timely manner
- Participate in instructor training on an ongoing basis
- Participate in team meetings and development workshops
- Occasionally travel to other training locations
The right candidate will have the followingqualifications and experience:
- Certificationas an Instructorwith the Canadian Red Cross
- Background in health care, adult education, occupational health & safety and/or an emergency service related field
- Strong interest educating people on the importance and value of health & safety training
- Self-starter who is able to work independently, while also contributing to a team
- Strong presentation and adult-engagement skills
- Valid Drivers Licence - occasional travel by car for work

In order to meet increasing demand for our health and safety solutions, Worksite Safety is expanding our First Aid training services in locations throughout Southern Ontario. We are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced individual who is passionate about keeping people safe! The successful candidate will be a certified Red Cross Instructor with a love for training others, excellent public speaking skills, and experience with occupational health and safety to draw on.
This position could be full-time (40 hours/wk) or part-time, depending on the candidate, and will report to the Manager, Instructor-Led Training. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting First Aid CPR classes at Worksites GTA locations throughout the week and potentially on the weekends. Training Centre locations could include Mississauga, North York, Scarborough, Whitby, Vaughan and others.
Key Responsibilities:
As a First Aid Instructor your key responsibilities are:
- Teaching students through discussions, providing audio-visual presentations and hands-on equipment training
- Travelling to different Worksite Training Centres as scheduled, as well as client locations occasionally
- Preparing, administering and marking tests
- Conducting qualitative mask-fit testing to workers at client locations as needed
- Organizing, filing and submitting digital and hardcopy student records in a timely manner
- Participating in instructor training on an ongoing basis
In general:
- Representing Worksite Safety as an Industry Leader
- Sanitizing/disinfecting testing room & equipment
- Updating records, generating certificates and organizing paperwork
- Participating in team meetings and development workshops
First Aid Instructors are trained through Worksite to also conduct qualitative mask fit testing. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Evaluating participants based on the requirements and guidelines provided by Worksite
- Educating participants on mask wearing, use, cleaning, etc.
The right candidate has the following qualifications and experience:
- 2+ years experience in an occupational health and safety role, adult education, or an emergency service-related field
- Certified as a First Aid Instructor with Red Cross
- Experience delivering First Aid training in a classroom setting
- Mask Fit Testing experience is an asset but not required
- Self-starter who can work independently, while also contributing to a team
- Strong communication skills
- Valid Ontario Driver Licence - travel is required for this position
- Able to legally work in Canada

Job Purpose: Reporting to the Director of Facilities and Life Support Systems, the LSS Trainee is an entry level position with Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada (RAC). The Trainee will be part of the LSS team responsible for the oversight, operation and maintenance of all small and large-scale LSS mechanical systems within Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada. The Trainee is also involved in the routine preventative maintenance and operation of all LSS systems and water filtration equipment for animal exhibits. The Trainee works collaboratively throughout the facility in a creative environment and contributes to the efficient operation of the department and aquarium. This position may encompass non-traditional days and hours, and may require on-site work after hours during emergencies.
Please remember that due to the nature of our business, we work when others play in an attraction that is open 365 days of the year! You will be expected to be regularly available to work any shift during, before or after these hours of operation.
Critical Accountabilities:

The Opportunity:
As a Hazmat Responder you will be joining the Field Operations Team in our Response
Division, providing impeccable service to a dynamic group of companies. You will be
responsible for you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe handling, transportation,
and disposal of hazardous materials. You should have a high degree of mechanical
aptitude, manual dexterity and excellent problem-solving skills. We have a diverse
portfolio of projects going on in various locations, you should be flexible to relocate
frequently.

Responsibilities:
Capable of leading team members on job sites
Perform hazardous material spill response and cleanup activities following established protocols
and regulations.
Safely operate specialized equipment and tools used in hazmat cleanup and containment.
Conduct site assessments to determine the nature and extent of hazardous materials present.
Implement appropriate containment, mitigation, and disposal procedures to minimize
environmental impact.
Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication and coordination during
emergency response situations.
Maintain accurate records of materials handled, actions taken, and cleanup processes.
Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with hazmat regulations and
best practices.
Assist in the maintenance and calibration of hazmat response equipment.
Shop maintenance
Qualifications:
Valid Driver's Licence
Clean Driver's Abstract
NFPA 1072 - Hazardous Materials Emergency Response Technician
Prior experience in handling hazardous materials, spill response, or related fields is preferred
Strong understanding of federal, provincial, and local regulations related to hazardous materials
Must live within 30 mins of Leduc Shop
