Job Overview

We’re seeking a Creative Director with a passion for web design, user experience, and visual storytelling to elevate our creative projects and define Evolving Web’s brand vision. The role requires a mastery of visual design and expertise in branding, experience design and scalable design systems.

You’ll be collaborating across departments and work directly with a team of talented designers, strategists, and developers, bringing a strong creative vision and strategic thinking. With a balance of leadership, creativity, and hands-on involvement, you’ll drive high-impact design work.


Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership and Vision

  • Shape Creative Direction- Set and champion the creative vision for projects to ensure innovative, high-quality results
  • Inspire Teams- Motivate and guide the design team to maintain creative excellence and deliver exceptional outputs
  • Thought Leadership- Represent Evolving Web as a subject matter expert in visual design and brand development to help us shape the future of digital interaction and user experiences

Client Engagement and Representation

  • Identify opportunities for our clients to better engage with their audiences and work with the sales team to expand client relationships through the value we bring by design
  • Presentation and Pitching- Present creative concepts with clarity and confidence to clients, stakeholders, and potential collaborators
  • Industry Representation- Advocate for Evolving Web’s expertise through speaking engagements, networking events, and thought leadership initiatives

Elevating Design Quality

  • Mentorship- Provide constructive feedback to elevate the skills of team members and align their work with our brand standards
  • Portfolio Development- Curate and enhance our portfolio to showcase our best work and resonate with clients and industry professionals

Brand Development

  • Positioning- Craft compelling presentations, pitch decks, and digital assets that align with and refine Evolving Web’s brand identity
  • Web Presence- Lead efforts to enhance our website and portfolio, ensuring a strong digital presence and user experience
  • Content Creation- Develop innovative and engaging content to share our story, capabilities, and successes

Collaboration and Teamwork

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration- Work closely with project management, development, and sales teams to align creative efforts with broader organizational goals
  • Judgment and Flexibility- Balance the pursuit of design excellence with practical solutions that meet project constraints

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Agency Experience- 5+ years in a creative leadership role, including experience pitching concepts and managing multidisciplinary teams
  • UX/UI Expertise- Strong proficiency in Figma and a solid understanding of design systems, branding, and user-centered design principles
  • Web Technology Knowledge- Familiarity with web technologies, particularly Drupal and WordPress, is an asset
  • Presentation Skills- Confident and engaging speaker, adept at tailoring presentations for diverse audiences
  • Collaborative Leadership- Proven ability to foster collaboration and build trust across teams
  • Bilingual- Fluent in English and French, with excellent communication skills in both languages

Leadership stratégique et vision

  • Façonner la direction créative- définir et défendre la vision créative des projets afin de garantir des résultats innovants et de haute qualité
  • Inspirer les équipes- motiver et guider l'équipe de conception pour maintenir l'excellence créative et fournir des résultats exceptionnels
  • Leadership- représenter Evolving Web en tant qu'expert dans la conception visuelle et le développement de la marque pour nous aider à façonner l'avenir de l'interaction numérique et des expériences utilisateurx

Engagement et représentation des clients

  • Identifier les possibilités pour nos clients de favoriser une interaction plus efficace avec leur clientèle et collaborer avec l'équipe de vente afin de consolider les rapports avec la clientèle par le biais de la création
  • Présentation et argumentaire- présenter des concepts créatifs avec clarté et confiance aux clients, aux parties prenantes et aux collaborateurs potentiels
  • Représentation de l'industrie- défendre l'expertise d'Evolving Web par le biais de conférences, d'événements de réseautage et d’autres initiatives

Élévation de la qualité de la conception

  • Mentorat- fournir des commentaires constructifs pour améliorer les compétences des membres de l'équipe et aligner leur travail sur nos normes de marque

  • Positionnement- créer des présentations convaincantes, des “pitch decks” et des ressources numériques qui s'alignent sur l'identité de marque d'Evolving Web
  • Présence sur le Web- diriger les efforts visant à améliorer notre site Web et notre portefeuille, en garantissant une forte présence numérique et une expérience utilisateur
  • Création de contenu- développer un contenu innovant et attrayant pour partager notre histoire, nos capacités et nos réussites

Collaboration et travail d'équipe

  • Collaboration interfonctionnelle- travailler en étroite collaboration avec les équipes de gestion de projet, de développement et de vente pour aligner les efforts créatifs sur les objectifs organisationnels plus larges
  • Jugement et flexibilité- équilibrer la recherche de l'excellence en matière de conception avec des solutions pratiques qui répondent aux contraintes du projet

Compétences et qualifications requises

  • Expérience en agence- 5 ans et plus dans un rôle de leadership créatif, y compris une expérience dans la présentation de concepts et la gestion d'équipes multidisciplinaires
  • Expertise UX/UI- solide maîtrise de Figma et solide compréhension des systèmes de conception, de l'image de marque et des principes de conception centrés sur l'utilisateur
