Customer Experience & Journey Mapping Specialist – Insurance Strategic contract role in the insurance industry focused on customer experience and journey mapping. Full-time conversion may require in-office presence at least 2 days per week.Responsibilities: • Contribute to the embedment of customer journey management practices across the organization.• Liaise with departments across the business to build a mindset focused on customer journey value.• Act as a key contact for TheyDo (Journey Management platform) to ensure effective tool usage.• Create journey maps for various customer segments and stages (e.g., quote, purchase, claims).• Integrate customer insights and data into journey maps to reveal actionable improvements.• Support CX initiatives by mapping and measuring end-to-end customer experience.• Identify experience gaps and recommend solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.• Deliver presentations and reports that influence change and stakeholder decisions.• Monitor the impact of implemented CX initiatives and provide ongoing recommendations.• Analyze data to proactively identify pain points and elevate the overall customer experience.What you will need to succeed: • Experience in the insurance industry is an asset.• Experience with TheyDo is an asset.• 3+ years of experience in customer and/or user journey mapping.• Proven ability to analyze customer experience data and extract actionable insights.• Strong track record of delivering improved customer outcomes and driving business change.• Effective stakeholder management across multiple business functions.• Strong presentation skills to report findings and influence decision-making.Why Recruit Action? We are looking for a Manager, Customer & Growth Insights to lead strategic analytics initiatives that drive growth across our grocery business. In this role, you''ll transform complex data into actionable insights that influence decisions across merchandising, marketing, and operations. Youu2019ll work closely with senior leaders to uncover customer trends, identify performance gaps, and shape strategies that boost sales, margin, and retention.
This role goes beyond technical analytics - itu2019s about using customer intelligence to unlock commercial opportunities, support business development, and drive engagement across key channels.
Hereu2019s where youu2019ll be focusing:
Lead strategic analytics initiatives to uncover high-impact opportunities within the grocery business to drive profitable sales growth using loyalty, research and transactional data
Leverage advanced analytical techniques to segment customers, forecast trends, and identify white space in customer spend, frequency and retention
Discover and quantify growth opportunities across categories, channels, and customer segments
Proactively identify performance gaps and growth levers, turning insights into initiatives that enhance revenue, margin, and customer retention
Use data-driven storytelling to deliver actionable insights that improve sales, margin, and customer engagement
Translate complex data into compelling business narratives and strategic recommendations that influence decision-making across merchandising, marketing, and operations
Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive landscape and emerging trends in grocery retail to inform analytical frameworks and strategies
What you have to offer:
Bacheloru2019s degree required; MBA preferred
At least 8 years of Consumer Insights or strategic analytics experience in a business setting
Proven experience driving sales growth and business development through data-driven strategies and customer insights
Demonstrated success in identifying and activating customer engagement opportunities across channels and segments
Excellent analytical ability paired with strong business acumen and communication skills
Leadership presence and proven ability to influence Executives and VPs
Experience with loyalty data, customer segmentation, and retail analytics
Proficiency in tools such as SQL, Python, R, or advanced Excel; familiarity with BI platforms like Tableau or Power BI is a plus
Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable strategies that support commercial objectives
