Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in a business intelligence or data analyst role, ideally within the manufacturing sector.
- Post-secondary education in Data Analytics, Information Management, Math & Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications or diplomas in data & analytics are considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of data warehouse structures and proficiency in SQL for querying relational databases.
- Skilled in data visualization tools and techniques—Tableau preferred.
- Experience with data analysis, modeling, and profiling tools—Alteryx preferred.

Business Intelligence Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and execute a strategic vision for business intelligence across ADP Canada, aligning with key business objectives.
- Serve as the BI subject matter expert (SME) within ADP Canada, driving the evolution of business intelligence best practices, frameworks, and tools.
- Provide technical and strategic leadership in data visualization, dashboarding, and self-service analytics to empower stakeholders with meaningful insights.
- Continuously assess and advance ADP's BI technology stack, identifying opportunities to drive innovation and integrate cutting-edge data visualization, automation, and analytics tools to improve efficiency and decision-making.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing BI team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Provide strategic direction to BI Analysts, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- Recruit, retain, and develop top BI talent, building a strong pipeline of future leaders in data analytics.
Business Partnership & Insights Delivery
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership within the business, providing data-driven recommendations that influence key business decisions.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align BI efforts with broader organizational goals.
- Design and implement executive-level dashboards and reports that provide visibility into key performance metrics (KPIs) and drive to business outcomes.
- Own and improve storytelling methodologies, ensuring complex data insights are communicated in a clear, actionable, and compelling manner.
Scalability & Process Optimization
- Establish and standardize scalable, repeatable BI processes that drive efficiency and enable data-driven decision-making across multiple business units.
- Develop and enforce governance structures, data quality standards, and BI best practices to ensure consistency and trust in reporting.
- Implement automation and self-service BI capabilities to empower stakeholders with real-time insights while reducing manual reporting efforts.
- Work with Data Engineering and Product teams to build and maintain a robust data infrastructure that supports scalable, ADP Canada-wide analytics initiatives.
- Optimize reporting cadences, workflows, and cross-functional collaboration models to improve efficiency and alignment between BI and business stakeholders.
- Monitor, refine, and continuously improve BI processes, ensuring alignment with evolving business needs and emerging analytics capabilities.
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: Requirements
- 5+ years of leadership experience, including managing BI teams and analytics professionals.
- 12+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Data Strategy.
- Comprehensive understanding of concepts and principles within the business intelligence discipline and sufficient knowledge of related fields to assess business implications.
- In-depth knowledge of how business intelligence integrates with overall organizational functions.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to set priorities and allocate resources effectively across teams.
- Proven ability to influence and partner with senior executives, driving strategic business impact through data.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Data Science, Data Engineering, Data Stewards, and Business Transformation teams.
