Your role:

The Data Center Operations Specialist provides technical support of Global Relay's mission critical data center facilities, server environments and related infrastructure. This includes specification, installation, and testing of server and storage systems and peripherals within established standards, as well as development and maintenance of data center support systems such as automated system provisioning, asset tracking, space planning, cable management, equipment monitoring and maintenance. These activities require timely troubleshooting of hardware, including servers, storage, electrical and mechanical systems, use of monitoring application software and operating systems to monitor, diagnose and resolve unique, non-recurring problems. These responsibilities require independent and team-based analyses, initiative and good judgment, communication and problem solving with work performed with little supervision.

Your job:

  • Assist operations staff with the installation, configuration and ongoing usability of servers, storage systems, peripheral equipment and software.
  • Work with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with computer, mechanical and electrical equipment and related software.
  • Interact with numerous computer platforms in a multi-layered client/server environment.
  • Create and maintain a well-organized list of inventory of all equipment and parts, as well as software licenses and maintenance agreements.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation on usage procedures and policies.
  • Recommend and perform upgrades on systems to ensure longevity.
  • Assess functional needs to determine specifications for purchases.
  • Assist in maintaining mechanical systems that are required to support the facility.
  • Perform asset tracking and space provisioning tasks as part of equipment deployments.
  • Receiving, unpacking, assembling, racking and cabling of servers, storage systems and related components.
  • Ensure facility is maintained to highest standards possible to ensure 100% uptime is achieved.
  • Maintaining service logs and records for electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Perform routine test procedures on redundant mechanical and electrical systems to ensure operational availability.
  • Escort and supervise mechanical and electrical contractors when performing maintenance and repair work to ensure work does not jeopardize system availability.
  • Assist in periodic security reviews and audits to ensure facility is always secure.
  • Perform rotating shift coverage to meet all support needs.
  • Will be involved in shift work, including night shifts and emergency coverage.
  • On-call coverage to provide additional support outside of regular business hours.

About you:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science and/or experience in supporting servers and data center needs within a mission critical environment.
  • A good understanding of Microsoft Windows server and Linux environments as well as some Solaris knowledge an asset.
  • Require excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical power distribution systems and how they are used in a data center.
  • Familiarity with large Generators and their operation an asset.
  • Familiarity with mechanical equipment systems (CRAC, CRAH, evaporative cooling) an asset.
  • Experience working in a mission critical data center facility.
  • Excellent judgement skills in making critical decisions.
  • Ability to lift and move large and awkward equipment safely.
  • Working knowledge of VMware virtualization both on the server and client side an asset.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of a large variety of server hardware configurations, able to assemble and repair server equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently in an effective and organized manner in a complex and challenging environment.
  • Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organization skill and initiatives.

Working conditions:

  • Must be available after hours and / or weekends for emergency related work, service impacting incident resolution, or maintenance that is required during maintenance windows (outside of regular business hours).

Your Role:

This position provides facilities support of Global Relay's mission critical data center facilities, server environments and related infrastructure. Your Job:

The successful candidate will have a High School diploma or higher education. Experience in supporting facilities and data center needs within a mission critical environment, or have an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that is relevant to the role.

Essential qualifications include:

  • Extended periods of standing or working on one's feet

Physical requirements:

This position requires the following abilities:

  • Lift and carry 50Lbs, and has prolonged periods of standing

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Provide remote product health monitoring function for any customers subscribed to our Managed Services. Includes:

o Reviewing and maintaining the Command Enterprise Server Health Alert Inbox

o Performing any remote diagnostics and applying fixes on monitored recording devices and IP cameras/encoders

o Logging all health alerts within the NOC’s ticketing database

o Updating tickets to keep their status current

o Creating and maintaining tickets for customers who purchased the Field of View Service

· Ensure the Health Scan’s product to customer mapping is correctly configured

· Participate in maintenance and administration of the NOC reporting and tracking database

· Work independently through verbal/written instructions from management

· Promote and maintain customer satisfaction by ensuring issues are resolved or escalated promptly and as per any Service Level Agreements.

Experience and Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities

Data Acquisition & Management

  • Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with internal teams to define data collection requirements and priorities, maintaining clear documentation on collection needs.
  • Data Collection: Perform on-site data recording using our systems and directly obtain datasets from key stakeholders or customers.
  • Data Storage & Archiving: Manage and organize large datasets across various storage solutions, including Google Cloud (GCloud) and local Network Attached Storage (NAS), ensuring data is secure, accessible, and up-to-date.

Data Processing & Validation

  • Validation & Regression Framework: Add new datasets into our validation framework, which includes creating precise Areas of Interest (AOIs) and generating new baseline performance metrics.

Labeling & Process Improvement

  • Labeling Coordination: Manage the end-to-end labeling process by sending data to our labeling partners, tracking their progress, and serving as the primary technical point of contact.
  • Documentation: Own and update all labeling documentation, including defining new classes and clarifying labeling instructions to ensure data consistency.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Continuously improve the metrics and reports used for our validation, performance and regression testing, adding new parameters as needed to enhance our evaluation framework.
  • Automation & Efficiency: Run, maintain, and improve our pre-labeling pipeline to increase the efficiency of our data operations.
  • Tool & Industry Research: Conduct industry research to identify and evaluate new tools and technologies that can make our labeling and data management processes more efficient.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale datasets and complex validation pipelines  for machine learning and computer vision applications.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Working under the direction of the Sr. Technical Editor (Data Management), you are to research, analyze, markup and assemble build specific work research packages from multiple data sources such as Bills of Material (BOMs), engineering drawings, and vendor information. Perform manual update research and editing tasks as determined by the Sr. Tech Editor or Publications Coordinator when required.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Create manual section research packages by extracting data from all available sources such as engineering BOMs, product photos, supplier documents, engineering specs, engineering drawings, and use to identify changes or new info to existing bus parts data.
  • Effectively organize the assigned research information packages (both hard copy and electronic versions) in order of priority and project strategy so they can be completed and handed over to the illustration group within the deadlines given.
  • Complete all Team Center research work tasks as assigned by Technical Editors and following established work procedures.
  • Contact any engineering staff or Part Supplier to clarify and verify the accuracy of their data or to source new data if required. This is very important which requires proper communication and investigative skills in order to obtain the required information within the timeframe available for each project. Maintaining a good working relationship with each supplier.
  • Maintain proper records of part supplier (vendor) data requests and perform follow-up actions to ensure that data requested is correct and obtained when required.
  • Perform all research duties according to established procedures and guidelines and to proactively communicate with Technical Editors at any time when you are not certain.
  • Perform editing tasks as determined by the Sr. Tech Editor or Publications Coordinator when required to supplement any shortfalls of editing capacity. Those tasks can include; SRPM template cleaning, editing, statistic reports, mentoring staff and supplying alternative solutions.
  • Perform manual update recording and manual bulletin creation when required
  • Complete tasks within specified time schedule deadlines and perform quality control checks of all work before handing in.
  • Assign New Flyer part numbers to new OEM supplier parts.
  • Properly maintain and archive source documentation in both electronic and hard copy formats.
  • Collect and communicate to the Technical Editor all data inaccuracies identified during the project so they are promptly recorded into the update system.
  • Perform efficiently and effectively in a team environment.
  • Consult with Technical Editors for clarification and information.
  • Upgrade skills on new or updated software.

Requirements

  • Certification/diploma from recognized technical school as a Mechanical Technologist or equivalent workplace experience.
  • 3-5 years experience in interpreting Manufacturing BOMs and engineering drawings into service parts lists.
  • Heavy equipment/automotive parts manufacturing background.
  • Experience in sourcing vendor data.
  • Experience with Engineering Data Management systems such as TeamCenter.
  • Capable of working under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent investigative and communication skills in an engineering environment.

Were looking for an individual to join our team as a full time (8 Hours a day) Data Center Technician. The pay range we offer is $20/Hr. to start, depending on experience. Your Responsibilities

  • Analyze business requirements and gaps not met by the existing systems / implementations
  • Identify feasible solutions within SAP framework and estimate effort needed to meet those business requirements and gaps
  • Implement solutions using SAP configuration, master data setup or code and support roll-out projects
  • Provide day-to-day SAP and MDM end-user support
  • Create a positive work environment by demonstrating and sharing functional/technical knowledge
  • Complete other duties as required by the Manager from time to time
  • Effectively uses teamwork to positively contribute to a high morale/high-performance team culture, consulting attitude and strong personal integrity
  • He/she ensures global support
  • Perform a complete, detailed needs analysis evaluating available applications and identifying opportunities for enhancing existing systems
  • Assist in system-related issues of manufacturing information processes/procedures
  • Assist in the coordination and collaboration of external consultants (Customer & Suppliers) as well as internal team members
  • Consult where requested for research and implementation assistance in regards to new modules, features or interfaced/integrated new products
  • Time tracking and documentation according to Magna Global IT standards
  • Support roll-out projects
  • Design practical, creative, conceptual technical solutions for business requirements balancing appropriate technology, cost and implementation timeline
  • Ability to map business processes to master data domains (e.g., customer, product, supplier)
  • Perform Root cause analysis for data quality issues
  • Identifying and resolving data conflicts and duplicates
  • Designing golden record strategies

Who we are looking for

  • Completion college diploma/certificate
  • A minimum of 5 years working as a business analyst, systems analyst, systems training, systems design, technical support, or applications programming
  • Interface knowledge between modules such as MM/SD interaction with FI/CO is an asset
  • Experience in Automotive Industry is desirable
  • Min 5 years of SAP working experience
  • Min 3 years of Master Data Management/Data profiling/Data governance hands-on experience
  • Must be able to work independently as well as a team player and can manage own workload
  • Previous experience in SAP implementation and development of SAP configurations is preferred
  • Knowledge of SAP MDG - Master Data Governance/MDM - Master Data Management is preferred.
  • Understanding of Data modelling, Data profiling and Cleansing, Meta Data Management is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Power BI reporting is preferred.
  • Review and work up development requests & specs for ABAP programmers to develop customized functionality or reports to meet business requirements
  • Experience in project management with technical competence in SAP
  • Project and Time Management Skills
  • Analytical and flexible approaches in the projects and coordination of available resources
  • Able to configure and support in at least two of MM/SD modules in SAP
