Position Summary

We are looking for a self-directed, result driven candidate who is ready to experiment with finding solutions for difficult problems, appreciates challenges, is not afraid of asking questions, and enjoys working with others. This position focuses on leveraging AI technologies to analyze complex healthcare policy documents and providing performant and scalable solutions for data extraction.

Role & Responsibilities

• Follow software development best practices: write clean, well-tested code; conduct code reviews; perform testing; manage deployments, etc.
• Maintain and improve document parsing pipelines, including proactive issue investigation and identifying opportunities for enhancement.
• Implement or enhance solutions that support long-term maintainability and ongoing flexibility.
• Collaborate closely and professionally with stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements, and with internal Engineering teams to design and implement solutions to business problems. Reach out quickly when blocked so that we can work together to remove obstacles.
• Provide accurate time estimates, adhere to project timelines, and consistently deliver on schedule.

Skills & Qualifications

Requirements:

• 3+ years of software development experience ideally focused on data processing pipelines, and 1+ years with applied machine learning/natural language processing.
• Experience in document understanding, PDF parsing, or similar related document data extraction technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Knows how to structure applications for long term maintenance and ongoing flexibility, familiar with SOLID design principles.
• Great communication skills (written and verbal) and a quick learner.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and cloud storage (AWS S3).

Nice to have:

• Database experience such as SQL query, PostgreSQL, etc.
• Experience working with PDF tabular data.

Contract Information

Key job responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate highly scalable, fault-tolerant data processing systems using modern AWS services like Redshift, S3, Glue, EMR, Kinesis, and Lambda, and orchestration systems using Airflow

About the team
The Pricing and Promotions Science Data and Insights Org strives to accelerate Customer, Seller, and overall Amazon success through the proactive development of automated intelligent pricing and promotions science and analytics systems. We facilitate making trustworthy data-driven decision making at scale. We look around corners for both long-term and short-term flywheel causal impacts, and think holistically, from sourcing to CX, and all customer journey touch points in between.
Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of data engineering experience
- Experience building/operating highly available, distributed systems of data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data sets
- Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
- Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with data audit and reconciliation strategies.
- Experience with data pipeline orchestration frameworks, such as Airflow.

The base salary for this position ranges from $103,300/year up to $172,600/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Machine Learning Engineer
The Security Solutions Data Science team is responsible for creating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) models backing its flagship product. The models generated are production ready and created to back specific products in Mastercard's authentication and authorization networks. Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $119,800 and $206,690. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
