About the Canine Coach Role:

• The focus of the Canine Coach is to create a safe and fun play environment for each pup.
• You interact/engage with the dogs and are always on stage. All rooms are equipped with cameras so pet parents can stay engaged with their dogs and watch the fantastic experience you create for their pup.
• You will be caring for all furry friends as if they were part of your own family.
• Maintain control of a large group of dogs in open play.
• Continuously walk the room to reward positive behaviors and re-direct escalated play.
• Address behavioral issues immediately without the use of force or physical punishment.
• Educate the dogs by teaching them to follow basic commands such as sit, down, stay, etc, that will be a benefit inside and outside of the playroom.
• Cleaning duties – Keep playroom clean of messes at all times, daily cleaning procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment, follow proper cleaning protocol and use of chemicals to ensure a safe environment for both people and dogs.

Duties and Responsibilities

Works with staff to ensure and facilitate the smooth functioning of all aspects of the program in order to best serve the children and families
Provides supervision, leadership and support to all program staff
Ensures licensing requirements are met at all times
Works along side the Staff to plan and coordinate monthly plans and curriculum
Ensures all materials and supplies are ordered and communicated to Management for approval
Consults, supports and provides guidance to staff in evaluating and revising programming as required
Develops and maintains positive relationships and regular communication with parents
Provides supervision, support and leadership to the children
Ensures program spaces are clean and organized at all times
Ensures all toys and materials are clean, maintained and developmentally appropriate at all times
Prepares and maintains program for Licensing and Health
Performs other related duties as requested by the management team

Qualifications

J OB SUMMARY:

Under the direct supervision of the Shki Waase-Aaban Binoojiinh Gamik Manager the Transportation Driver is responsible to provide transportation for children ages 18 months to 5 years of age for pick up and drop off at the residential locations. The transportation driver will ensure the smooth operation of the transportation service in coordination with staff and programming needs.

POSITION DUTIES:

• Maintain a daily logbook of all transportation
• Conduct daily circle and safety inspections of vehicle and document and/or report deficiencies to manager
• Consult with Manager about vehicle forms and any requirements for additional transportation services for planned activities and/or excursions
• Report all accidents, injuries and illnesses to the Manager and record such incidents as required and/or directed
• Maintain a Vehicle Form and Transportation Seating Chart to confirm (by signature) that all children are accounted for
• As required, transfer wheelchairs, scooters or other medical equipment into vehicle
• Maintain a neat and sanitary environment inside the vehicle
• Conduct regular/routine maintenance of vehicle such as oil changes, installation of summer or winter tires, etc.
• Schedule and transport vehicle for repairs as required
• Clean and sanitize the interior of vehicle on a regular basis and wash the exterior as required

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• Must have current CPR, First Aid Certification, and AED Certification (or willing to obtain)
• Must provide a clear CPIC (Canadian Police Information Centre) record
• Must have a Valid Drivers Class F Drivers License
• Must treat all passengers in a respectful and professional manner
• Must sign & maintain confidentiality
• Must maintain a neat and professional appearance
• Personal suitability will be considered for this type of position
