**Responsibilities**
+ Evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques, procedures, industry codes and standards to projects
+ Perform intermediate complexity engineering designs including analysis, calculations, research, and equipment selection
+ Develop mechanical piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for facility systems including steam cycles, boiler feed, condensate, water treatment, flue gas, hydrogen, fuel handling, heat transfer systems, carbon dioxide, and utility systems
+ Prepare sizing calculations and specifications for major equipment including, but not limited to, boilers, condensers, cooling towers, tanks, blowers, and pumps
+ Prepare mechanical engineering designs, equipment lists, general arrangements, aux power demands, and process flow diagrams (PFDs)
+ Check design deliverables in accordance with industry codes and standards, contract requirements, and company standards
+ Prepare requisite mechanical documentation for construction
+ Assist in the development of schedules, work assignments, and staffing requirements to ensure successful project completion

**Qualifications**
+ At least 2 years' experience in mechanical engineering and design. Experience in the power industry, electrical utilities, or industrial markets, would be advantageous, but not required.
+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an CEAB accredited four-year college or university program.
+ P.Eng. license preferred, but not required.

**Principal Duties & Responsibilities:**
+ Leverages advanced ASIC knowledge and experience to define, model, design (digital and/or analog), optimize, verify, validate, implement, and document IP (block/SoC) development for a variety of high performance, high quality, low power products.
+ Creates advanced architectures, circuit specifications, logic designs, and/or system simulations based on system-level requirements.
+ Collaborates across functional teams (e.g., software architecture, hardware architecture, product management, program management teams) to develop and execute an implementation strategy that meets system requirements and customer needs.
+ Evaluates all aspects of complex process flow from high-level design to synthesis, place and route, timing and power use, and verification or similarly for custom circuit design/layout flow.
+ Utilizes tools/applications (e.g., RTL to GDS Flow, Virtuoso) to execute and enable advanced architecture and design of multiple complex blocks/SoC or IC Packages.
+ Writes and reviews detailed technical documentation for complex EDA/IP/ASIC projects.

Responsibilities:

• Generate creative, innovative technical solutions to challenging problems by employing advanced composite materials
• Coordinate testing of materials, components, and assemblies to evaluate engineering properties and conformance to operational requirements.
• Proactively work with management group to improve existing processes and operations by introducing new technology to improve current processes.
• Manage internal projects and customer programs to ensure on timely delivery in a cost-effective manner while meeting form, fit and functional requirements
• Support the Quality and Program Management teams at FPH with customer inquiries as they relate to product form, fit, function in a timely and professional manner and provide feedback accordingly.
• Support new business quoting opportunities as required. Collaborate with Business Development to review engineering standards and functional requirements specific to each customer
• Develop a knowledge of composites manufacturing processes, for example; hand lay-up, vacuum bagging, bonding, and machining.
• Develop an awareness and knowledge of state-of-the-art technology advancements in the field of composites design and manufacturing.
• Create, develop and guide concepts through product design, materials and process, prototyping, testing, and qualification towards the end result of a production ready product.
• Understand the fundamentals of composite processing and material development. Applications can include various defense composite structures as well as thermal and electrical protection systems.
• Support the creation of test plans, requests for proposals, and quotes in a professional manner. Development of associated tests, specifications, plans, drawings and other products required to support design, verification and certification

Minimum Qualifications:

• Post-Secondary education (undergrad or masters) in Mechanical or Materials Engineering
• 2 or more years of direct composite industry specific experience
• Ability to create, interpret and review technical documentation, including project plans, test procedures, design documents, schematics, drawings and part lists
• Excellent Solidworks modeling ability and excellent working knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Experience with ASTM standards for testing of composites
• Strong background in materials, manufacturing processes and chemical processes
• Experience with Solidworks design and FEA software applications as they apply to composite materials
• Able to rapidly work and learn with minimal supervision on projects involving both small and large engineering teams
• Ability to demonstration a detail oriented and analytical thought process
• Demonstrates excellent organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Demonstrate initiative, reliability and positive team attitude
• Able to work in a highly collaborative, fast paced environment with emphasis on rapid prototyping and fielding capabilities.
