**Responsibilities:**
+ Coordinate and lead the design and alignment of track infrastructure for various transit systems using AutoCAD Civil3D or MicroStation Open Rail Designer.
+ Responsible for leading internal Designers and Engineers with a primary focus on managing the track design and resolving technical challenges to reach a design solution that meets all requirements including specifications and standards and adheres to Parsons QAQC processes.
+ Prepare calculations, engineering design plans, technical reports, specifications, and cost estimates, and present to internal and external stakeholders
+ Ensuring effective design coordination across disciplines. Participate in design coordination meetings and address critical issues as it pertain to track design within an interdisciplinary team.

+ Review and approve shop drawings and technical documentation. Implement railway systems and procedures to ensure cost-effective, high-quality, and safe project delivery.
+ Contribute to proposal preparation, develop and verify technical scopes, and assist with budget and schedule planning and management.

**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil Engineering typically preferred);
+ Designation as a Professional Engineer in Ontario;
+ 8+ years experience with track design engineering for large-scale rail transit systems including Class I Railways, LRT, or Commuter Rail;
+ Demonstrated experience in the design of rail alignments, special trackwork, junctions, yards, and facilities;
+ Experience in design-build contract delivery is an asset;
+ Detailed understanding of local authorities' codes and design standards;
+ Strong capabilities in AutoCAD Civil3D Subassembly Composer, Dynamo and Navisworks for BIM interface;

You'll interface with internal and external contacts and will coordinate with multiple project design disciplines for interference checking and quality control.
- At least 10+ years' experience as a Civil/Water Designer/Drafter, delivering site civil designs including site layouts buried piping and services and site grading
- Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering Technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Requirements

• Proven experience in leading design teams and managing complex commercial developments.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in diverse commercial architectural typologies.
• Excellent understanding of building codes, zoning laws, and permitting processes in British Columbia.
• Proficiency in architectural software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.

**What are your contributions to the team?**
+ Lead and coordinate A/C level and/or Aerostructures design solutions for systemic Production and in service complex repeat issues.
+ Support Structures Design Talent Technical Development through Coaching and mentoring Aerostructures design specialists during the resolution of complex technical issues.

+ Propose and lead the implementation of technical innovations based on knowledge of industry trends through Advanced Design and Strategic Technology.

+ Champion Design for Manufacturing technical solutions to align all stake holders and lead to first time right production line implementation.
+ Lead the resolution of complex multi stakeholder repeat issues on aircraft and aerostructure production lines and ensure lessons learned are considered for introduction into BES standards.
+ Lead resolution of major Manufacturing issues including Major RNC's, Major Non-Disclosure.
+ Enforce adherence to BES (Bombardier Engineering System) practices and Knowledge Standards to promote product line integrity and consistency. Candidate may perform BES Champion role.
+ Research technical developments in the industry to remain aware of innovations that may affect and improve current performance enabling leadership in a competitive landscape.
+ Develop cost estimates for business cases and statements of work for technical feasibility studies and initiatives.
+ Share Industry and Regulatory Development with ASIL Knowledge Domain.
+ Perform Aircraft level trade studies and functional modeling.
+ Provide technical guidance to Programs and CARB. Work with the Safety team to support Aircrat Level Safety, Reliability and Security processes.
+ Support multi-disciplinary alignment for Triage, CARB and AOG issues when necessary.
+ Work with Management on PCR process, cycle times, optimizing solutions.
**How to thrive in this role?**
+ You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering. May have a PHD related directly to a field of expertise.
+ You have 20 years or more of relevant experience in Aerostructures Design.
+ You have deep experience supporting production lines across multiple Bombardier programs including MRB, Root Cause Investigations, process optimization, tooling, GD&T.
+ You have advanced experience in Aircraft Structures Design and Integration on at least 2 or more development programs, expert in one or more areas.
The base salary for this position is expected to range from CAD $130,000 to CAD $180,000 per year. The applicable base salary will be determined based on various criteria, at Bombardier's sole discretion, such as the candidate's skills, experience and qualifications.
In some cases, the base salary offered may differ from the expected range of base salary listed above.
