TRG is currently seeking an Intermediate Municipal Engineer to join our Client's team in Water & Wastewater department. This individual will be responsible for the delivery of linear collection and distribution infrastructure projects. As part of Water Wastewater conveyance group, this individual will contribute to our growth in this exciting market segment.
The selected individual will become part of an enthusiastic group of experts offering robust answers to the infrastructure demands of the future. You’ll also gain the chance to play a vital role in a team that delivers highly acclaimed engineering solutions tailored to our clients’ requirements.
Location: Mississauga
Responsibilities and Duties
- Participate in the delivery of planning studies, preliminary designs, detailed designs, tendering and construction.
- Execute the design of public sector municipal servicing projects under the direction of one of our Senior Project Managers, including treatment facility civil works, force mains, storm sewers, sanitary sewers, watermains, and feeder mains.
- Coordinating, Coaching, and Mentoring junior staff.
- Be cognizant of project budgets and project schedules and participate in project controls.
- Liaise with various municipal, utility and approval agencies, and maintain client communications.
- Assist Contract Administrator and Field Inspection staff on construction projects (engineering support services and coordination).
- Support senior staff with shop drawing reviews, processing of payment certificates, change orders, and support of field staff with the preparation of project design and record drawings.
- Assist with start-up, testing and commissioning.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience relating to the design and construction administration of Municipal Water and Wastewater Infrastructure projects.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or C.E.T., preferably in Ontario.
- Demonstratable knowledge and experience with the following:
- Condition assessments, trenchless technologies, and pipeline rehabilitation.
- Ontario Environmental standards and guidelines.
- Planning/approvals and permitting processes.
- Project management and project controls experience on municipal water and sewer projects is an asset.
- Superior English communication skills, both oral and technical writing.
- Strong leadership and presentation skills; adept at leading meetings and presenting to clients.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD/MicroStation/Civil 3D experience would be an asset.

Our Canadian design team is growing, and we are looking for a senior level Design Manager to be part of our team in Canada. This is a new addition to staff and is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Design-Build professional that enjoys working on various Alternative Project Delivery projects (APD). The successful candidate will have experience working on major, significant APD projects in North America.

The Design Manager provides direction and management for large scale Design-Build projects and ensures on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations. The Design Manager is responsible for the marketing and pursuit strategy, scope development, scope management and commercial performance of the project to meet project goals and objectives. This Manager also plans and defines program goals and devises methods to accomplish them; develops in-depth knowledge of client objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies, and must be familiar with the integration of engineering/technical aspects, as well as procurement and construction activities.
**Additional Specific Responsibilities of the Design Manager:**
+ Acts as the Company representative with the client and selected subcontractors during the program execution. Negotiates changes to the scope of work with the client and key subcontractors. Markets and secures additional work with client. Follows up on instructions and commitments associated with the project.
+ May participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings in support of clients.
+ Oversees establishment of Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as required.
+ Establishes the program requirements for all areas of the project and monitors the draft and final deliverables for adherence to these criteria. Responsible for the development and distribution of a one to two-page description of the project to all members of the project team for reference.
+ Plans, directs, supervises, and controls the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned project. Assigns responsibility for executing project plans to key subordinates after careful assessment of how to utilize their qualifications and strengths. Provides input to performance reviews and development plans for subordinates.
+ Mobilizes company resources, through liaison with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries, to create project teams capable of completing effective, quality work. Discusses the qualifications required of the key project positions in specific detail with the profit center and department managers. Collaborates with the office facilities staff to address project space requirements.
+ Works with other managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of a project. Ensures that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans.
+ Works with the key project individual to devise and execute actions plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work. Advises the client and company management of any such changes. The Project Manager is specifically responsible for maintaining current and timely change orders.
+ Promotes technical and commercial excellence on the project through application of Quality Assurance processes. Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or schedule. Establishes weekly meeting to review project status and formulate action items.
**Preferred Education/Experience**
+ 4-year degree in Civil Engineering (or related) required
+ At least 15+ years of related work experience is required
+ Registered Professional Engineer
+ Experience as Lead Design Manager on Design-Build projects is required
+ Additional design experience on Design-Build projects
+ Proven background of leading multidisciplinary design teams on challenging, high-profile projects.
**Skills/Competencies**
Incumbent must meet Parsons' project management certification requirements and possess a proven ability to perform in a management capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are also required. We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Technical Architectural Designer to join our Store Planning team. In this role, you will play a key part in preparing technical drawings and interior layout details for our retail stores, ensuring compliance with design standards, landlord requirements, and local building regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed technical drawings for retail store interiors using AutoCAD.
- Implement pre-approved design concepts into assigned interior spaces (non-load-bearing construction).
- Apply and ensure compliance with landlord design criteria and Level of Detail (LOD) requirements.
- Produce drawings required for building permit applications.
- Perform material take-offs and calculate required quantities.
- Prepare documentation for fixture and equipment procurement.
- Ensure construction drawings accurately reflect brand book guidelines and design team directives, and that final IFC, IFT, and IFP drawing sets are consistent and ready for the project management team.
- Coordinate with external consultants to ensure alignment with brand standards.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors to integrate technical details of fixtures and fittings into drawings.
- Work closely with internal teams (IT, Loss Prevention, Marketing, Visual Merchandising) to ensure full coordination across all build aspects.
- Oversee external drafting consultants to ensure accuracy and compliance with design requirements.
- Participate in project planning with design and project management teams.
- Ensure drawing sets align with project budgets and timelines.
- Respond quickly to site-related issues and propose effective solutions.
- Maintain and update standard layout blocks and drafting configurations.
- Manage and keep the brand’s technical documentation and file directories up to date.
- 5–7 years of experience in retail construction drawing production (including space planning of individual stores)
- Proficient in AutoCAD and 3D rendering tools (Photoshop, InDesign, SketchUp)
- Knowledge of MS Office products
- Demonstrates strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Can manage multiple priorities and tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:
- Promotion, consultation and sales presentation of White Cap Canada cladding & masonry façade, thermal and moisture protection, and fastening hardware products to specifiers and specification influencers in architectural design community.
- Identifying market trends and maintain awareness of competitive activity in exterior cladding and general building envelope.
- Project opportunity tracking and management with sales group and strategic suppliers.

- May oversee the completion of projects and assignments, including planning, assigning, monitoring and reviewing progress and accuracy of work, evaluating results, etc. Contributes to employees' professional development but does not have hiring or firing authority.
Work Environment:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Education and Experience:
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 5-8 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 3-5 years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years in the architectural specifications field with knowledge and understanding of cladding and architectural façade, and general building envelope.
