Job DescriptionToday CS Group Canada is looking for a Software Verification Engineer. Their role will be to test embedded software applications on aircraft and space system such as engine control, flight management systems and display/avionics systems. The role may evolve to perform software development.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out the software testing in accordance with DO-178.
- Develop and run the relevant tests on the test platforms to verify correctness of design.
- Debug issues (raised during the software development cycle) in the engine control software.
- Ensure traceability between all the software design and tests artefacts.
- Conduct independent peer reviews on tests produced by other team members.
- Draft all the final technical documents.
- Provide a clear status and workload to your lead.
- Participate to continuous improvement of the team performance (quality, efficiency, on-time delivery).
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Science or equivalent.
- 2-6 years experience in a similar position.
- Experience with engine control software.
- Interest in troubleshoot complex software problems.
- Knowledge of DO-178.
- Knowledge of C language, and scripting languages like Python.
- Knowledge of SCADE, Matlab / Simulink or equivalent.

About the Position:
In this role you will use SystemVerilog and UVM, working from spec coverage-closed verified and debugged designs, developing environments and leveraging 3rd party VIP as appropriate. You will verify blocks or sub-systems or top level within large and very complex networking or GPU/AI SoCs in advanced technology nodes down to 3nm FinFET. You will work within a strong and very experienced team and on world class ASIC environments with BTA’s clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform design verification of large ASICs that integrate custom, high speed computational accelerators with 3rd-party SoC IP blocks.
- Develop verification environment architecture using UVM.
- Document test environment associations and write test cases.
- Support lab bring-up with direct test cases.
- Perform code and functional coverage.
- 7+ years of experience in ASIC verification.
- Highly skilled in Verilog, SystemVerilog, other hardware description languages, and scripting languages.
- Significant experience with UVM / OVM methodologies.
- Experience with ARM / MIPS / RISC-V architecture.
- Familiarity with constrained random verification techniques, assertions and functional coverage.
- Experience with Advanced Microcontroller Bus Architecture is an asset
- Experience with APB / AXI and processor peripheral interfaces is an asset.

- Drafting detailed drawings for fabrication, assembly and erection/installation ;

- A portfolio demonstrating breadth and creativity in product design, versatility with rapid prototyping tools and methods, and a strong understanding of design and creative process is required;
- Understanding of general machining, CNC practices, and manufacturing;
- Strong analytical, design and troubleshooting ability, with a focus on proactively and independently solving problems;
- Injection-molding experience would be a strong asset;
- Must work well under pressure with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
