A day in the life as a Designer.
+ Drive sales and a differentiated experience by providing enriching customer interactions, and providing elevated design offerings in the store, in-home and virtually with customers.
+ Create elevated designs for customers using the preferred design tools to create moodboards, 2D & 3D floor plans, product lists and customer presentations.
+ Lead design consultations in person (in-store or in-home) or via email, phone and virtual
+ Deliver projects in a timely manner and within determined timelines.
+ Possess a clear understanding of the brand aesthetics and merchandising strategy by channel; Store, E-Commerce, Catalog.
+ Ensure full understanding and awareness of all product information, including characteristics, care information and staying informed with the competition and industry trends.
+ Deliver individual sales, KPI and service goals, productivity standards, and engage customers on the sales floor by demonstrating our selling skills.
+ Actively listen to the customer to identify which products will best meet their needs and communicate company loyalty services. (e.g. designer rewards, Design Trade Program, credit card etc).
+ Support and model excellent service by exhibiting a positive attitude and enthusiasm ensuring all customers are provided gracious, quick, and efficient service.
+ Support store training and educating on design services, to drive a clear understanding of design services and offerings.

About the role:

  • Responsibility for the full design lifecycle from concept to execution.

What you need to be great in this role:
  • 4+ years of work experience that demonstrates impeccable craft and command of creative concepts, visual concepts, and design across a variety of projects.
  • The ability to take projects from concept to completion, with a history of translating strategic thinking into compelling, visual ideas.
  • Proactive, flexible, and independent, able to effectively time manage projects
  • Able to gather feedback judiciously but know when to follow guidelines/vision
  • Understand how to work on a range of designs within brand guidelines
  • Deep knowledge & production experience with integrated and digital campaigns.
  • A strong understanding and general skills around motion graphics and video.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to provide solution-oriented ideas

What you'll do:

Responsible for creating sophisticated, stylish marketing assets which align with the brand standards of cuddle+kind, alongside our Sr. Designer and Marketing + Art Director.
Designing marketing assets for websites, email, app, and SMS.
Creating compelling digital ads; lead the design optimization of paid social advertisements.
Retouching imagery for core marketing channels, including organic social media, to ensure consistent visual feel.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or other applicable major; continued education in specialized Design field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
1-3 years of relevant graphic design experience in digital direct to consumer, fashion, décor, retail or advertising environments.
Must have experience in graphic design with a deep understanding of composition, visual hierarchy, color and typography as well as image retouching.
Exceptional skills in typography.
Proficiency in illustration or animation is an asset.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture (or equivalent) is required with 3-5 years of post-graduate experience. Professional registration is required at this level.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES: Requires proficiency in the application of architectural design standards, practices, and techniques, as well as a demonstrated proficiency in sketching, rendering, model-building, and presentation drawing. General proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit software are required.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping seamless, accessible, and engaging digital experiences for the Canadian Digital Banking platform. Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, UX/UI designers, researchers, developers, and fellow content designers to co-create intuitive and inclusive digital experiences.
Write and edit user interface (UI) content such as microcopy, error messages, tooltips, onboarding flows, and transactional messages that guide users through complex financial tasks with clarity and confidence.
Develop and maintain content standards, voice and tone guidelines, and content patterns to ensure consistency across all digital touchpoints.
Participate in design sprints and workshops, contributing content expertise to wireframes, prototypes, and user flows from early ideation through to final implementation.
