The Position

Under limited supervision, this individual will be a member of the IT Service Delivery Group supporting a complex environment with several Active Directory Domains and clustered converged infrastructure systems and Servers.  The Systems Administrators are responsible for Multi Forest and Domain level support of Active Directory, internal DNS infrastructure, account administration and Infrastructure security implementation. The Systems Administrators operate independently and in team environments. The position requires extensive experience with AD security delegation, AD group policy creation, login scripts, AD and Exchange, disaster recovery, administration and support of a Hyper Converged infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities  

  • Work with team members to design, deploy and manage complex environments built on Windows and Active Directory, Exchange and Azure infrastructures
  • Configure and implement Active Directory site configurations; group policies and local security policies
  • Implement and audit of security configurations
  • Monitor AD replication and core services
  • Facilitate automation and standardization for creation and maintenance of access on network shares
  • Document processes and procedures and updated regularly
  • Ensure SW patch releases are updated regularly
  • Troubleshooting issues utilizing Microsoft best practices 
  • Utilize testing tools and techniques for problem solving
  • Analyzes hardware performance and makes recommendations to senior management
  • Utilize and implement analytical tools; i.e. Performance Monitor 
  • Ensure the integrity of data storage and backup systems
  • Ensures software and hardware installs, re-installs, upgrades, moves, changes and relocations are made when necessary and as required
  • Resolves problems escalated from Service Desk
  • Provide exceptional customer service even when the environment becomes fast-paced or intense  
  • Providing capacity planning, monitoring, and maintenance of designated system(s) Identifying trends or problems    
  • To ensure continuity of the business processes supported by one or many applications / services   
  • Ensuring continuity and quality by owning the resolution of issues across platforms. Tracking progress and escalating as appropriate unless resolution reached 
  • To ensure standards and guidelines are applied and maintained across systems for administration, deployment and monitoring over a range of platforms
  • Identifying faults and issues and recommending appropriate paths to resolution, and fixing as appropriate  
  • Ensuring appropriate contingency procedures are in place for systems and that they are regularly tested   
  • Managing change control implications for designated systems 
  • Contributing to process development and best practice. Looking at new ways to improve resilience, performance levels and supportability 
  • To establish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders  
  • Travel required to various local sites
  • Flexibility in working hours is required to support the 24/7 environment and to comply with assigned change management time windows
  • Take on additional responsibilities as required

What You Bring  

  • Post-Secondary Degree/ Associates Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or equivalent experience and/or training in Server Administration
  • MCSA/MCSE or equivalent preferred, CCNA is an asset
  • Knowledge of Gaming and Entertainment Industry
  • Excellent organization, written and client facing skills
  • Experience of the entire project life cycle, able to operate in the initial conceptual design stage
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Office and MS Project
  • Previous casino/gaming/Payment services experience an asset
  • 5+ years Windows 2008à2022 server administration or equivalent

Position Summary

The System Administrator is crucial in managing and optimizing the organization's and its customers' IT infrastructure. Responsible for maintaining and enhancing diverse systems, they focus primarily on Windows and Linux servers, demonstrating expertise in Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, Group Policies, and Office 365. The role also involves managing cloud services on AWS and Azure platforms and managing virtual servers through Hyper-V and VMWare ESXi. The administrator employs tools like LogMeIn and Datto for remote system access and monitoring, ensuring optimal performance and high accessibility.

Furthermore, their responsibilities extend to complete network infrastructure management, including setting VPNs, VLAN management, and upkeep of the LAN/WAN architecture. A crucial part of their role is maintaining high network security levels, primarily through the skilled management of Sophos XGS Firewalls.

Beyond technical proficiency, the role requires strong collaboration and communication skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Recent certifications and S./B.A.in Computer Science, Information Systems, Telecommunications, or equivalent experience preferred.

Your Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Advanced profiency in Hexagon, and Autodesk Products.
  • CAD Software Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to CAD users. Address software-related issues and help resolve problems promptly to minimize workflow disruptions.
  • Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain CAD software on workstations and ensure all systems are up to date with the latest versions and patches.
