Position Summary
The System Administrator is crucial in managing and optimizing the organization's and its customers' IT infrastructure. Responsible for maintaining and enhancing diverse systems, they focus primarily on Windows and Linux servers, demonstrating expertise in Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, Group Policies, and Office 365. The role also involves managing cloud services on AWS and Azure platforms and managing virtual servers through Hyper-V and VMWare ESXi. The administrator employs tools like LogMeIn and Datto for remote system access and monitoring, ensuring optimal performance and high accessibility.
Furthermore, their responsibilities extend to complete network infrastructure management, including setting VPNs, VLAN management, and upkeep of the LAN/WAN architecture. A crucial part of their role is maintaining high network security levels, primarily through the skilled management of Sophos XGS Firewalls.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the organization's network's design, implementation, and maintenance, enhancing reliability performance and preparing for growth.

- Manage and support all server infrastructure, including analyzing system needs and performance.
- Direct onsite and cloud-based backup and recovery processes for organizational and customer data.
- Provide Tier 2 support to our field technicians and Lottery users for our proprietary back-office applications and environment.

- Monitor and optimize system performance, including load balancing and connectivity.
- Regularly update and secure systems through patch application.

Education & Experience Requirements
- Recent certifications and S./B.A.in Computer Science, Information Systems, Telecommunications, or equivalent experience preferred.
