Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital is actively seeking applicants for a Casual Registered Nurse position in the Dialysis Department.
Qualifications:
- Current registration and Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario is required.
- Current BLS is required.
- Current Hemodialysis experience is considered an asset.
- ICCU or Emergency experience considered an asset.
- Minimum one (1) year recent medical/surgical experience is preferred.
- Nephrology experience and /or completion of the Nephrology certificate preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to function as an independent primary nurse.
- Demonstrated good computer skills.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, communication and teaching skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Highly developed assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrated initiative and self-direction with ability to work in a geographically independent environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to own professional development and continuing education.
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
- Demonstrated ability to develop positive working relationships within team to contribute to a positive work life.
- Is cognizant of emotions and experiences of others while communicating with patient families and team members.
