**E-COMMERCE & DIGITAL MARKETING INTERN**

We're looking for an E-Commerce & Digital Marketing Intern - Consumer Beauty & Prestige to join our E-Commerce & Digital team. You will work on a variety of Digital Media & E-Commerce projects with the objective of driving brand awareness, sales and disrupting the beauty industry in Canada.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
As our Ecommerce & Digital Marketing Intern you are responsible for overseeing digital content optimization, setting up products on retailer platforms and supporting other strategic digital initiatives across the organization.
Responsible for leading digital content and e-commerce initiatives, including asset creation, PIM (Salsify) management, and cross-functional coordination to support campaign and product launches.
**Your main focus:**
+ Oversee digital content creation and implementation across campaigns, e-commerce, and newsletters. Manage asset organization in PIM (Salsify) and ensure timely readiness for launches
+ Monitoring brands presence on all digital platforms to ensure full E-Commerce portfolio is spotless and optimized on their respective e-retailer platforms
+ Lead Amazon product setup, brand store updates, and A+ content optimization.
+ Support agency meetings, trend analysis, and competitive reviews to identify opportunities. Contribute to reporting and strategic planning across digital media and e-commerce initiatives

Job Description

The key objective of the Director of E-commerce will be to drive the online revenue growth for Fairmont properties across the US, Central and Latin America by leading the digital hotel community and supporting them in the strategic planning and execution of digital marketing and distribution activities. Reporting to the Global VP of Digital and Distribution, they will be actively involved in conducting hotel reviews and working towards maximizing direct and indirect online performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Act as Hotel digital and e-commerce leader and subject-matter expert, providing strategic and tactical recommendations to drive properties performance across channels
  • Build strong and close rapport with hotels digital teams, providing guidance, overseeing their e-commerce and digital strategy and aligning it with the overall departmental objectives
  • Support hotels in strategic planning and execution of digital marketing activities through global partners, vendors and agencies including but not limited to SEM, email marketing, social media, display and programmatic, metasearch, OTA ads
  • Design and develop learning material for hotels including user-guides, webinars, handbooks
  • Manage the e-commerce budget to support global campaigns and focus hotels, and optimizing return on investment
  • Take part of Commercial hotel reviews and identify new online business opportunities
  • Utilize data analytics tools and customer insights to make data-driven decisions and continuously improve online performance.
  • Drive central tools adoption by properties
  • Work closely with counterparts from Acquisition, CRM, Social Media, Product in the rollout of digital projects, tools and campaigns
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders from Revenue, Marketing, PR, Sales, Operations
  • Monitor and assist in ensuring Rate parity together with the Revenue team throughout all distribution channels
  • Support new opening hotels with distribution, budget recommendation, team structure and opening campaign
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities for growth
Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in E-Commerce, Digital Marketing
  • Preferred luxury hospitality background with knowledge of distribution and OTAs
  • Master’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of current digital landscape, trends and best practices
  • Strong knowledge of e-commerce platforms, digital marketing, and web analytics
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision-making
  • Excellent English, both verbal and written
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong relational skills to demonstrate teamwork and to partner with cross-functional teams and internal teams

As a Digital Marketing Analyst your primary role is to leverage data analysis techniques to evaluate the effectiveness of digital marketing campaigns, including paid and organic efforts across social media platforms and website.

Responsibilities

As a successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:

  • Provide in-depth analysis of social media campaign and website performance
  • Identifying trends and opportunities for optimization.
  •  Assess the effectiveness of key performance indicators such as reach, engagement, and conversion rates to recommend data-driven improvements.
  • Perform detailed audience segmentation and behavior analysis to inform targeting strategies and campaign adjustments.
  • Provide comprehensive reporting on social media and website campaigns, presenting insights to stakeholders in a clear and actionable format.
  • Assess emerging trends and technologies in digital and social media marketing analytics to ensure tools and methodologies remain cutting-edge.
  • Perform testing and analysis to determine the effectiveness of various campaign elements, such as: creative formats and messaging strategies.
  • Increasing a website’s visibility in search engines to drive organic and paid traffic.
  • Analyzing performance metrics, and staying up to date with search engine algorithm changes.

Education & Experience Requirements

As a successful candidate you will hold a:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Digital Marketing, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or a related discipline from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in digital marketing or social media and website analytics, including at least 2 years in a role focused on campaign performance reporting and data-driven optimization.
  • Understanding of analytics tools, social media and website insights platforms, and data visualization software.
  • Proficiency in using data to inform digital strategies is a requirement.
