The qualifications we are looking for

Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance or a related field.

Ten (10) plus years of proven experience in procurement, with at least five (5) years in a leadership role.

Vast experience in sourcing of GNFR and indirect procurement.

Experience working with AI and technology to enhance efficiencies (considered an asset).

Excellent communication skills; fluent French and English, given the national nature of the responsibilities/duties of this role.

Who we need:

Reporting to the Director of Procurement, we are hiring a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our Procurement team. You will be responsible for sourcing ingredients including dairy, gums, flavors, additives, oil, colors and packaging materials for our Brampton, Ontario and Lebanon, Indiana manufacturing facilities. You will lead vendor negotiations, contract management, identify cost-saving opportunities, and mitigate risk through alternate sourcing strategies. This is a full-time, hybrid role, working onsite 2-3 days per week, including every Wednesday at our Brampton, Ontario plant.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in strategic sourcing
• Demonstrated experience managing corporate travel categories
• Strong track record negotiating vendor and service agreements
• Experience supporting or leading procurement system implementations
• Ability to act as a procurement SME on technology or transformation projects
• Proficiency with Excel and procurement databases
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or JD Edwards
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to manage multiple sourcing projects with shifting priorities

Remuneration

$105,000 base salary + strong benefits package

• Il/Elle analysera les données de dépenses liées à la chaîne de valeur et évaluera l'expansion des marges et la création de valeur.
• Il/Elle mettra en œuvre une stratégie pour les produits qui limite l'exposition aux risques et à la responsabilité grâce à une planification stratégique.

Description

• The Strategic Sourcing Manager will be responsible for supporting the sourcing strategy for a given commodity by managing supplier relationships, supplier restructuring and work transitions. They will be leading RFQ packages, source selection and contract negotiations using an established gated process and in collaboration with the contracts teams, as well as supporting the procurement teams on commercial decision making and leading various cost reduction initiatives. The candidate will be responsible to define and manage the overall strategy (cost, quality, and delivery performance) of owned commodities and suppliers, including the identification and execution of long-term projects to achieve sustainable performance results
• Analyze value stream spend data and evaluate margin expansion and value creation.
• Execute a commodity strategy that limits exposure to risk and liability through strategic planning.
• Understands and evaluates the impacts of both strategic and tactical decisions on the long-term strategy of the supply base
• Oversee and manage contract performance
• Develop strong partnerships with assigned suppliers and take proactive measures to work with other P&WC groups to manage/reduce the total cost.
• Identify cost reduction and improvement projects and manages these projects
• Execute supplier relationship management strategy for a portfolio of suppliers assigned
