Roles and Responsibilities
We are seeking a full-time Director of Supply Chain to join our team. The Director of Supply Chain based in Bedford, will report to the Vice President, Operations andis responsible for leading the supply chain organization forInnovasea.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a systematic and data driven approach to optimize our supply base.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies, goals and Key Performance Indicators to measure andoptimize supply chain performance, including inventory turns, forecast accuracy, product availability, inventory valuation, capacity utilization, and cost saving.
- Manage supplier relationships, including strategic suppliers. Implement supplierreviews and metrics.
- Manage the supply chain team including activities related to strategic and tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing,shipping and receiving in a moderate volume, high mix, fast paced electronics manufacturing environment.
- Work with team members to develop priorities and manage continuous improvement processes and opportunities. Recommend and implement changes in supply chain methods in accordance with company objectives.
- Take ownership of the dynamic and cross functional demand planning process.
- Develop and drive cross functional projects and initiatives that impact supply chain performance, optimizing cost and inventory levels, while ensuring timely delivery.
- Lead change management using advancements in technology updates to improve processes and overall productivity. Promote best practices throughout the Company.
- Ability to draw actionable insights from complex, multi-source datasets
What Were Looking For
- A Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or Engineering and SCMP designation of equivalent (CSCP, CSCMP) is required.
- A Masters in Business Administration (MBA) would be an asset.
- 5-10 years of continuous procurement experience in both leading a team and strategic sourcing.
- Extensive experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Proven experience in building high-performing teams
- Experience in accessing, manipulating and analyzing complex datasets to determine metrics and actionable insights
- Proven (quantified and measurable) success in implementing strategic sourcing programs
- Must have the legal right to work in Canada and live in the HRM are or plan to relocate. No visa sponsorship is offered.
- Experience with the SYSPRO ERP system would be an asset.

Overview:
Sonic Incytes is seeking a dynamic and strategic-minded individual to join our team as the Director of Manufacturing and Supply Chain. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership experience in medical device manufacturing, supply chain optimization, and quality-driven production environments, who thrives in a collaborative, and fast-paced work environment.
The individual in the role will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing processes (both internal and external), ensuring regulatory compliance, managing suppliers and logistics, and scaling operations to meet demand.
This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is a hybrid position in Vancouver, BC.
Key Responsibilities:
Manufacturing Operations:
- Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations for the Velacur product line, including production scheduling, work instructions, and process improvements.
- Develop and implement lean manufacturing practices to ensure efficiency, cost control, and high-quality output.
- Manage relationships with contract manufacturers, assembly partners, and component suppliers.
- Ensure all products meet Sonic Incytes' standards for quality, performance, and reliability, in compliance with ISO 13485 and other regulatory requirements.
- Partner with Research & Development to transition new products and product improvements from design to production.
Supply Chain Management:
- Take ownership of end-to-end supply chain strategy, including procurement, inventory management, forecasting, and logistics.
- Build and manage supplier partnerships, negotiate contracts, and ensure supplier performance metrics are met (cost, quality, lead time, delivery).
- Evaluate suppliers for the purpose of improving our redundancy and resiliency of key component supply and reducing costs.
- Oversee inventory planning and control for raw materials, finished goods, and service parts to balance customer needs and cash flow.
Leadership:
- Build and mentor a high-performing manufacturing and supply chain team including, but not limited to, Assembly Technicians, Inventory Lead and related administrative professionals.
- Establish KPIs and performance metrics for manufacturing, procurement, and logistics.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and supply chain processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing and supply chain management in a regulated industry. Experience in medical device manufacturing is preferred.
- Leadership experience both with internal and external team members.
- Strong understanding of ISO 13485, FDA QSR, and/or other international regulatory standards.
- Demonstrated experience managing contract manufacturers and scaling production operations.
- Proven success in supplier management, procurement strategy, and global logistics.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and quality systems.
