This role requires expertise in logistics coordination, effective communication with drivers and warehouse teams, and maintaining a safe and efficient yard environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Schedule and dispatch drivers for deliveries based on customer orders, route efficiency, and vehicle availability using Biztrack and GeoTab.
  • Monitor delivery status, resolve route issues, and maintain communication with drivers and customers to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Oversee the organization of materials, equipment, and vehicles in the yard to optimize space and facilitate easy access to inventory.
  • Use Biztrack and GeoTab to track vehicle movements, manage dispatch, and ensure accurate records of deliveries, driver hours, and yard activities.
  • Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure materials are prepared and loaded for dispatch in a timely manner.
  • Perform regular inventory checks and manage the layout of the yard to maintain safety and efficiency.
  • Inspect vehicles and equipment for maintenance needs and arrange necessary repairs.
  • Supervise yard personnel, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with third-party carriers and logistics partners to enhance operational efficiency.

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in logistics or a related field is an asset.

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in dispatching, delivery coordination, or yard management, preferably in a similar industry would be considered an asset. (not required)
  • Proficiency with Biztrack, GeoTab, and basic inventory management systems.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to safety and operational efficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to resolve issues under pressure.
  • Knowledge of transportation and yard safety regulations.
  • Ability to operate yard equipment such as forklifts (certification preferred).
  • Physically capable of handling materials and working in an outdoor environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and analyze mobility data to identify trends and issues.

Qualifications
