Duties

The Dispatcher is responsible for the scheduling and dispatch of crew members to various healthcare facilities and private residences within our service areas, our dispatchers act as our liaison between our different client groups, our crew members and relevant stakeholders. The role provides timely support in a fast paced, high call volume office environment, our ideal candidate is able to manage competing priorities, able to pay attention to minute details, and thrives in a constantly changing environment. The Dispatcher relays work orders, messages, and information to or from drivers and supervisors using telephones and two-way radios. The Dispatcher schedules and dispatches workers and drivers to appropriate locations according to requests, specifications, or needs, using radios or telephones.

  • Experience in a similar role delivering excellent customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Dispatcher position will be a full-time salaried position, Monday to Friday, reporting to the Branch Manager. The primary responsibilities of this position include cultivating strong relationships with drivers and customers to always provide exceptional service.

Primary Responsibilities

· Schedule drivers to cover open routes, absences and charter work.

· Booking charters with school and general public.

Main Duties

  • Schedule and dispatch cleaning crews for kitchen exhaust, duct, and equipment cleaning services

  • Monitor and adjust daily routes to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime

  • Communicate with customers to confirm appointments, provide updates, and resolve scheduling issues

  • Coordinate with field technicians to ensure job readiness, including access, tools, and special instructions

  • Track vehicle locations via GPS and ensure adherence to schedules

  • Maintain accurate records of service requests, completed jobs, and technician availability

  • Support emergency or after-hours dispatch as needed

  • Collaborate with operations and fleet managers on maintenance schedules and technician assignments

Work Environment

Fast passed environment with physical demands includes walking and standing, bending, crouching



Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of dispatch or scheduling experience , preferably in service or trade industries

  • Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills

  • Proficiency with dispatch or ERP software (e.g., Aspire, ServiceTitan, or similar)

  • Familiarity with route planning, GPS tracking systems , and service ticketing

  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt to changing situations

  • Knowledge of commercial kitchen cleaning or facility maintenance is an asset

Job Description

The starting wage for Dispatch is $16.00 per hour for the first 30 days and then $16.50 after that.

We are currently hiring for 20/08 - Monday-Thursday AND 16/24 Friday/Saturday and Sunday.

Duties:

  • Dispatching drivers.
  • Answering phones and documenting all paperwork on each shift.
  • Track and monitor the GPS of security vehicles on a large dispatch map.
  • Communication skills: You will be listening and speaking to people by phone, in stressful situations and must record the information accurately.


Qualifications:

  • 18 years or older.
  • Your ability to listen, speak clearly, and communicate effectively is a necessary part of the job.
  • Reliable transportation to/from work.
  • Comfortable with computers and technologies.
  • Can easily interpret online maps, GPS-style mapping systems, and map books.
