We are seeking a highly organized, technologically visioned and results-driven Regional Distribution Manager to oversee the daily operations of our distribution network (DSD-last mile delivery). **What’s involved in this role:**
More specifically, the Regional Distribution Manager’s responsibilities will include:
- Responsible to manage relationship with unionized distributors of the GTA and the collective agreement.
- Responsible to manage relationship with independent distributors of Ontario and the distribution agreements
- Participating in the renewals of the collective agreement et distribution agreements
- Accountable and responsible for annual distribution operational budget in Ontario. Supporting monthly budget variations explanations.
- Supervise and responsible of compensation method of distributors in Ontario. Manager will support, challenge and improve the compensation method used in Ontario.
- Leading cost saving initiatives regarding the network.
- Participating in larger Logistic project committees involving distribution.
- Managing the annual performance review of salaried employees.
- Support and improve the culture of health and safety of Agropur. Ensure compliance of distribution network with safety provincial regulations, Agropur policies and industry standards.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
- Monitor and develop KPIs and performance metrics to ensure operational goals are met.
- Manage and mentor distribution supervisors.
- Support culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with internal departments as warehousing, procurement, transportation, and sales & contact client center teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Coordinate regular audits of network partners.
- Identify and implement technology solutions to streamline distribution processes.
**What you need to join our team:**
Bachelor
- ’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related (or equivalent experience).
- 5-10 years of experience in distribution, transportation, logistics or warehouse management including a minimum of 3 years as a manager.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP management software and Invoicing DSD solution.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS).
- Knowledge of SAP (an asset).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Available for occasional travel.

Your Daily Contribution & Impact:
Reporting to the VP Operations and Logistics, the Distribution Centre Manager’s mandate is to direct, control, and co-ordinate all of the Distribution Centre activities within the Calgary DC. · Through a leadership team of Distribution Center and Department Heads, organize, co-ordinate and supervise the work of approximately 100-125 employees in accordance with established policies, laws and regulations, including those related to operating a large distribution centre in a Safe and efficient fashion
· Maintain a high level of performance for the Distribution Centre activities, such as: safety, fill rate, profitability, inventory turns, productivity and the quality of service provided to our customers
· Responsible for creating, implementing, managing and monitoring warehouse results in accordance with the established warehouse budget to ensure objectives are met or exceeded
· In partnership with the VP of Operations and Logistics, develop and implement strategies to reduce costs throughout the facility
· Prioritize teamwork, excellence and quality of service offered to customers, by ensuring a synergy among all levels of management within the facility in order to meet the company’s strategic objectives and performance standards
· Work closely with customers and all departments, insuring good internal and external communications
· Closely cooperate with the Head Office teams specifically the Logistics group and IT departments, in order to optimize the working methods and processes related to our Warehouse Management System (WMS) and our ERP system (SAP)
· Participate in the development and implementation of best business practices ("SOP: Standard Operating Procedures") to optimize the distribution network

Expertise & Essential Skills:
· University or College degree in Logistics, Business Administration or Production

Your Daily Contribution & Impact:
Reporting to the VP Operations and Logistics, the Distribution Centre Manager’s mandate is to direct, control, and co-ordinate all of the Distribution Centre activities within the Calgary DC. In particular, the incumbent is responsible for maintaining a high level of service by optimizing the efficiency of our operations and service to our customers while respecting Distribution and Inventory budgets. Managing a team of a Warehouse Manager and Supervisors, the incumbent will assume, among others, the following direct responsibilities:
· Responsible for all warehousing and distribution activities in the Calgary Distribution Centre
· Through a leadership team of Distribution Center and Department Heads, organize, co-ordinate and supervise the work of approximately 100-125 employees in accordance with established policies, laws and regulations, including those related to operating a large distribution centre in a Safe and efficient fashion
· Maintain a high level of performance for the Distribution Centre activities, such as: safety, fill rate, profitability, inventory turns, productivity and the quality of service provided to our customers
· Responsible for creating, implementing, managing and monitoring warehouse results in accordance with the established warehouse budget to ensure objectives are met or exceeded
· In partnership with the VP of Operations and Logistics, develop and implement strategies to reduce costs throughout the facility
· Prioritize teamwork, excellence and quality of service offered to customers, by ensuring a synergy among all levels of management within the facility in order to meet the company’s strategic objectives and performance standards
· Work closely with customers and all departments, insuring good internal and external communications
· Closely cooperate with the Head Office teams specifically the Logistics group and IT departments, in order to optimize the working methods and processes related to our Warehouse Management System (WMS) and our ERP system (SAP)
· Participate in the development and implementation of best business practices ("SOP: Standard Operating Procedures") to optimize the distribution network
· Coach, manage, evaluate and develop members of his/her team
Expertise & Essential Skills:
· University or College degree in Logistics, Business Administration or Production
· 5 to 10 years of professional experience in a similar role in a large scale distribution environment
· Ability to adapt and lead in a constantly changing high passed environment and act as a change management Champion
· Strong leadership skills, which include the ability to work efficiently within a multidisciplinary team
· Experience with warehouse management system (WMS), ERP (SAP) and experience with implementation processes and principles of continuous improvement
· Strong organizational, planning and cost control skills
· Strong ability to analyze, synthesize, negotiate, motivate and persuade
· Strong influencer and communication skills both written and verbal
· Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
· Experience in wholesale distribution and/or automotive industry
