Our fashion industry client is in search of an experienced Production and Logistics Assistant to add to their team! This person will work closely with the production and logistics teams, following up on sample development all the way to the goods arriving at their warehouse. It's a great opportunity for the right candidate, you will be involved in the entire process from A-Z!
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with production team, following up with overseas suppliers on daily basis, completing and verifying overseas import purchase orders from a-z.
- Follow-up on fabric, lab dips, trims and all submissions needed from suppliers as well as fit samples, and flow of goods. Work closely with design, sales, fit technician, and traffic departments to ensure that delivery dates are respected.
- Maintain clear records of the status and details of each purchase order. Communicate throughout the day with production and logistics teams to ensure that everything is flowing smoothly. Trouble shoot as needed.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working for a fashion company.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Strong computer skills, word and excel.
- Ability to work under pressure of strict deadlines, ability to multitask and work autonomously.

Summary
The Site Assistant / Driver (SAD) is a full time position on the Ottawa Field Operations team. The role requires physical labour (push, pull, move up to 75 lbs) and long periods of being on your feet. The SAD ensures the site is clean (preparing worksites, removal of waste materials, loading and unloading materials, and assisting trade workers) and safe per the company's policies and at the direction of the Site Superintendent. The SAD may also be required to competently and safely use basic hand and power tools. The SAD will also be responsible for use of a company-issued vehicle to permit debris removal, deliveries of construction related material and equipment necessary for deployment at various project locations. Overtime and weekend work may be required subject to the project demands.
