We’re looking for a Class 1 Driver based in Prince George - whether you’re just starting your driving journey or you’ve already logged some serious miles.
About Us:
Van-Kam Freightways Ltd (Van Kam) is one of the largest regional carriers in Western Canada specializing in less-than-truckload (LTL) transportation. With 8 terminal locations across British Columbia, we fulfill shipments to communities within 1-3 days throughout BC and Alberta. Between our own resources and our partner network, our coverage extends beyond Western Canada into the U.S. and Eastern Canada.
We are currently hiring for a Class 1 Driver out of our Prince George Terminal.
Key Responsibilities :
- Performing local city LTL deliveries and pickups in Prince George and surrounding areas.
- Operating various tractor-trailer combinations based on delivery needs.
- Traveling between Prince George terminal and customer facilities within the service area.
- Conducting pre-trips and post-trip inspections.
- Ensuring all freight is handled with care and delivered safely and on time.
- Communicating clearly and professionally with dispatch and customers.
- Maintaining accurate delivery logs and paperwork.
- Representing our company with a customer-first, professional attitude.
Qualifications:
- A valid Class 1 Driver’s License (a must!)
- A clean driver’s abstract
- Strong work ethic and safety-first attitude
- Good communication and time management skills
- Comfortable with early mornings or local runs (flexibility is key!)

Conducting traffic control around cities, construction sites and major events. Traffic Technicians design safe lane closures and traffic detours with physical setup and removal of devices such as barricades, pylons, signage and digital messaging boards.
Qualifications- A valid Class 5 Driver’s License and clean 3-year Regular Driver Record from ICBC or equivalent is required.
- A valid BC Traffic Control Person (TCP) ticket from the BCCSA is required.
- Own method of transportation to get to and from work is preferred.
- As this is a safety-sensitive position, all employees must undergo and pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. This includes use of medical or recreational marijuana. ATS Traffic has a zero tolerance policy in place for safety-sensitive positions.
- Ability to successfully pass a Fit Test including lifting between 35 and 50 pounds.
- 6 months of LCT experience required. We will be verifying employment history and experience prior to hire.
