Your Role

  • Voyago's Transit Drivers are responsible for delivering exceptional door-to-door customer service while working closely with individuals who have special needs
  • You are required to provide proactive assistance to passengers in boarding vehicles, maneuvering wheelchairs, securement belts, lifting portable assistive devices, and offering necessary aid throughout the journey.
  • You are a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers by properly securing passengers, devices, and mobility aids.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

Your Profile

  • You are a safe driver with a clean driving record
  • You can obtain a clean criminal record search and/or vulnerable sector screening
  • You are a professional driver with a class license of G
  • You are able to work with individuals who have special needs in a compassionate and patient manner
  • You are physically capable to lift and maneuver assistive devices
  • You have excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Your prior experience in a similar role would be preferred
  • You are comfortable working around any type of service animal
  • You have a sound knowledge of the city of Durham

Your Role

Operational Oversight

    • Manage the daily operations of transportation services, ensuring compliance with contractual standards and company policies.
    • Oversee staff scheduling to ensure full coverage during regular operations, vacations, and sick leaves.
    • Cover driving runs as required to maintain service continuity.

Team Leadership & Performance

Your Profile

Key Areas of Accountability

VHA's Nurses are required to do the following tasks, but not limited to:

  • Hold a valid First Aid or CPR Certification.

  • A moderate level of wound care or venipuncture knowledge and experience is an asset.

    As a member of the Personal and Business Banking team, you’ll leverage your banking and mortgage experience to help clients achieve their home ownership dreams. As a Mobile Mortgage Advisor, you’ll have the flexibility to meet with your clients where and when it’s convenient for them.     About the role:


    At Compass ELC, you will work as a Home Child Care (HCC) Provider alongside some of the most passionate, caring, and dedicated educators in the industry. You will spend your time engaging, connecting, and learning alongside Children, Families, Community Partners, and other Providers. You are passionate about early learning and care, emergent curriculum, and life-long learning. You are energetic, resourceful, and creative in your pursuits of creating learning opportunities, building connections, and engaging with children and families.


    As a Licensed Home Child Care business, you have the flexibility to create your own program. You can set your own schedule and hours (part day, full day, extended day, evenings, weekends, overnight).


    Capacity:


    As a Licensed HCC Provider, you may have up to 6 children under the age of 13 years (no more than 3 under the ages of 24 months). This includes providers own children under the age of 4 (If your child is in kindergarten, your child no longer is included in ratio).


    Some accountabilities associated with the role include:

    • Plan, lead, and guide play-based experiences surrounding children's interests throughout the day.
    • Observing and documenting children's learning.
    • Building relationships with families and including them in the learning process.
    • Working as part of a team with Providers, Families, Community Partners, and Children.
    • Ensuring the safety of children by learning and acknowledging all children's diverse needs, backgrounds, and creating equitable opportunities for all children to engage.
    • Demonstrating respect for spaces by ensuring the safety and cleanliness of all equipment, furniture, and materials.
    • Actively engaging in professional learning.

    Qualifications:

    • Access to suitable operational space for up to 6 children (this includes: play, meals, sleep, outdoor areas).
    • Have experience with young children.
    • Show warmth, sincerity and genuine interest when working with children.
    • Rent (would need Landlords approval) or own your home/apartment.
    • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Have strong behaviour guidance skills that include problem solving, positive reinforcement and redirection strategies.
    • Have a valid/accredited Standard First Aid/CPR Level C certificate.
    • Updated immunization records (Or a signed and notarized refusalofaffidavit or medical exemption).
    • Have a current Police Vulnerable Sector Check (not more than three months old).
    • Have an active Food Handlers Certificate.

    Senior Environmental Project Manager – Site Assessment & Remediation (Durham Region)

    Position Summary


    We’re excited to offer an excellent career advancement opportunity for a Senior Environmental Project Manager to join a large multi-disciplinary consulting team of leading environmental engineers and environmental scientists dedicated to providing expert solutions for major clients across the construction, commercial land / property development, municipal, and industrial sectors. Clients include the City of Toronto and other leading organizations who relay on the expert environmental consulting services.


    This is a full-time, senior-level position, ideal for a seasoned professional with a passion for managing complex environmental projects, leading and developing teams, and building lasting client relationships. This role has the potential to develop into a branch leadership / team leadership position.


    The ideal candidate will have 10 -15 years of progressive experience in environmental consulting, with demonstrated expertise in managing Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments, site remediations, and other technically demanding projects.


    Key Qualities Required :

    • Passionate about mentoring and developing junior staff
    • Has a strong professional network and a track record of cultivating client relationships that drive growth and long-term partnerships
    • Strong proposal writing skills, with a track record of securing new business through well-structured and persuasive submissions

    As a Senior Project Manager, you will:

    • Lead and mentor multidisciplinary project teams , including Technicians, Scientists, and more junior Project Managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
    • Manage multiple complex environmental projects from proposal through to completion, including Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, site remediations, and other specialized assignments.
    • Engage directly with clients to define project objectives, develop scopes of work, and ensure alignment with regulatory and contractual requirements.
    • Design and plan projects by selecting sampling locations and techniques, developing analytical programs, and preparing detailed budgets and proposals.
    • Oversee project execution , including scheduling, resource allocation, subcontractor management, and field coordination.
    • Provide technical leadership by offering expert advice, reviewing historical data, and ensuring scientific and regulatory accuracy in all deliverables.
    • Conduct quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) on both your own work and that of others, ensuring all deliverables meet internal standards and client expectations.
    • Review and produce high-quality technical reports , ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with applicable standards and client requirements.
    • Track project progress against timelines and budgets, proactively identifying and addressing risks or deviations.
    • Support business development efforts by preparing proposals and quotes, identifying new opportunities, and maintaining strong client relationships that lead to repeat business.
    • Contribute to internal initiatives , such as compliance, health and safety programs, training sessions, and corporate strategy discussions.
    • Make strategic decisions regarding project execution, client negotiations, and financial matters
    • Champion team development , providing coaching, performance feedback, and growth opportunities to junior staff and peers.

    Experience / Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s or post-graduate degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
    • P.Geo or P.Eng designation
    • Minimum 10-15 years of experience in environmental consulting
    • At least 5 years at the Project Manager level, with full ownership of projects, taking projects from conception to completion
    • Extensive experience working on Contaminated Sites, Site Assessment & Remediation projects, including Phase I & II Site Assessments
    • Prior recognition as a “Qualified Person” per Section 5 (2) of O. Reg. 153/04, or being eligible for such recognition
    • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-phase projects and lead diverse teams
    • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
    • Experience supervising technical staff and junior project managers
    • Strong proposal writing expertise
    • Previous experience with client / business development
    • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and industry best practices
    • Ability to make strategic decisions and manage client and subcontractor relationships
