Position Summary:

Childcare Workers are under the supervision of the Childcare Supervisor and are responsible for providing early learning programs that promote child development in areas of early literacy and numeracy skill development, emotional and social development, hygiene, health, well-being, and safety. The Centre offers full-day programming for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, as well as a before-and-after-school program for children to 12 years of age.

Essential Functions:

• Promote the health, well-being, and proud Anishinabek heritage of children at the Centre.

In this role you will
Demonstrate knowledge on early learning theories and strategies that support development and positive interactions with children and families
Develop program planning that reflects How Does Learning Happen? pedagogy

About the role:

At Compass ELC Kirkfield, we are looking for excited, passionate, and dedicated Registered Early Childhood Educators who will be a part of building the culture and environments within this new program. Mount Sinai Education Inc. is pilot testing a program and is looking to hire an Early Childhood Educator/Tutor for child(ren) (ages 3.5 to 5).
