Education Manager
Job Summary:
The Education Manager is responsible for overseeing the academic integrity and quality of all programs offered at the private career college. This role ensures that curriculum delivery meets regulatory standards, instructors are effectively supported and evaluated, and students receive a high-quality, career-focused education. The Education Manager works closely with faculty, administrative staff, and compliance teams to ensure programs are delivered in accordance with Ministry and PCC requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Oversight
- Oversee day-to-day academic operations, including program delivery, class schedules, instructor assignments, and academic calendars
- Ensure programs are delivered in accordance with approved curriculum and Ministry guidelines
- Monitor student attendance, performance, and progression; implement intervention plans as needed
- Recruit, onboard, supervise, and support instructors and academic staff
- Conduct regular faculty evaluations and classroom observations to ensure teaching excellence
- Provide professional development, mentorship, and training opportunities for faculty
- Collaborate with the compliance team to ensure programs meet Private Career Colleges Act, 2005 (or relevant provincial regulations)
- Assist in the development, review, and submission of new program applications or program changes to the Ministry
- Maintain up-to-date course outlines, syllabi, and instructional materials in accordance with regulatory standards
- Act as a liaison for student academic concerns, appeals, and complaints
- Support the academic success of students through tutoring resources, study plans, and instructor engagement
- Participate in student orientations, graduation ceremonies, and academic advising as needed
- Track and analyze key academic performance indicators including graduation rates, student satisfaction, and instructor feedback
- Prepare academic reports for internal leadership and regulatory bodies
- Support audits, compliance reviews, and inspections from Ministry officials and accrediting bodies
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in an academic leadership role, preferably within a private career college or post-secondary institution
- Strong knowledge of provincial education regulations and PCC compliance requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing faculty and academic operations
- Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills

OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Service Supervisor, the Education Liaison will improve educational outcomes for children and youth in care, customary care, and in a Voluntary Youth Services Agreement. The Education Liaison coordinates educational supports and culturally responsive navigation support for children and youth in care. The Education Liaison helps to resolve issues that impact the children and youth’s learning, and strengthens the relationships amongst societies, schools, public school boards, First Nations’ school authorities, and community partners.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preferred education is a Bachelor of Social Work Degree.
- Must have a minimum of a Social Services Diploma or Native Child and Family Worker Diploma.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Strengthen relationships amongst schools, school boards/authorities, Agency and community partners and the member First Nations.

Your role as a Project Architect on our professional Architecture team is to work independently to assist clients through the planning and creation of projects that are rooted in a deep understanding of our client's needs, are fiscally responsible, and represent design excellence. Your experience ensures that you are quite familiar with the design process from inception through close-out, code and regulatory requirements, contract documentation, estimates and building codes. You will participate in diverse project teams successfully throughout the design process, managing workflow and production activities, while ensuring client satisfaction with the process and product. You will assist in business development activities, nurturing existing client accounts and seeking to grow our client base through building new relationships and project pursuits.
As a member of our design team, you will be expected to help reinforce a collaborative and engaging environment for the teams that you lead while also ensuring design excellence, exceptional project delivery, and the highest levels of client satisfaction across Alberta. Your Key Responsibilities
- Advocate and inspire creativity, critical thought and design excellence both internally and externally.
- Ensure that the overall design intent of the project established by the Project Designer is incorporated into the detailed documentation.
- Monitor the design process from conceptual phase through construction administration, ensuring the design idea is consistent and properly executed.
- Lead communication with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure incorporation of all information into project requirements and provides support as necessary.
- Take an active role in the production of project deliverables.
- Meet with clients and conduct presentations.
- Support Business Development activities, including marketing proposals, interview, conference attendance, etc.
- Assist in identification and recruiting of design staff at all levels.
- Foster collaboration between Stantec offices while promoting design culture.
- Act as a mentor, teacher and coach to junior design staff and interns with the goal of growing and guiding them through their careers.
- Evaluate the quality of design and design activities and assure a high level of design quality throughout the firm.

Education and Experience
- This position requires candidates to possess a professional degree in Architecture (Bachelor's or Masters)
- Registered Architect (or ability to achieve this through interprovincial reciprocity) in the Province of Alberta is required.
- The position requires a minimum of 5 years of professional experience, demonstrating experience leading projects and developing business.
- Experience in providing consulting services to K-12 clients will be an asset.
- This position requires proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite and an understanding of production processes in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Newforma, Sefaira, Recent modeling software (eg: Rhino, Lumion, Enscape, 3d-Studio-max).
