Every grade has an annual grade-wide Outdoor Education trip, as well as a number of themed Ivy Days. The goal of the Ivy Compass Program is to graduate inspired leaders and socially responsible agents of change.

You are a knowledgeable and experienced school leader, passionate about experiential learning and about helping students understand the world around them and identify their own sense of purpose through meaningful reflection and active engagement with local and global communities. You have a deep understanding of service learning, environmental stewardship, human rights education and how to embed them in a school environment. You are skilled at supporting students engaging in dialogue around complex and divisive issues. You value what an international perspective brings to learning in schools in curricular and co-curricular experiences. Student agency is something you believe in and seek to develop in your interactions with students.

You are a student-centered educator who values collaboration with colleagues to maximise student outcomes. You are confident in supporting learners using approaches that are reflective of the way girls develop and thrive. You believe in the value of a diverse and student-centered experiential program, and you can support both the teachers and students in realizing an educational program's potential beyond the classroom. You optimize the resources available to you. You are energized by what you do. Students, colleagues and parents find you to be approachable, available, knowledgeable, genuine and supportive. You demonstrate an understanding of the importance of parents as partners in their daughter’s education by maintaining open and collaborative relationships with the parent community. As a lifelong learner, you demonstrate a commitment to actively seek professional development, to value and seek student voice, to continuously reflect on your practice, and collaborate with your colleagues to maximise student learning. You participate actively in the life of the school.

You will find the school to be a learning community where students and staff share the same genuine passion for learning. You will be spending your day with students who are intellectually curious and with colleagues who are collaborative, inspiring, and dedicated to the profession of teaching.
