Power Systems Electrician (QEC-25-035)
Rankin Inlet, Nunavut
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Power System Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and overhauling electrical systems and equipment including engines, pumps, compressors, radiators, heat exchangers, lube oil systems, fuel oil systems, cooling systems, and other related subsystems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical generation systems, subsystems, and equipment to ensure maximum productivity and quality.
- Inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs emergency electrical systems, subsystems, and equipment and replaces as required.
- Travels to remote communities to perform regular inspections, conduct preventative maintenance, install equipment, and perform general repairs to electrical generation systems.
- Works in collaboration with the Engineering department to review design and equipment specifications to ensure projects meet all regulatory and QEC compliance standards.
- Works in collaboration with related trades and staff to ensure on-time and on-budget completion of capital and O&M projects.
- Maintains maintenance documentation and coordinates with Engineering, operators, maintenance staff, when amending documentation.
- Provides on-site solutions or modifications to bring systems back online as quickly as possible during outage situations while mitigating risk to equipment.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times and acts in a pro-active manner to make timely recommendations for continuous improvement of operations and equipment.
- Coordinates with Stores to ensure appropriate electrical inventory and materials are ordered in advance of the annual sealift season.
- Ensures work is conducted in accordance with all corporate policies and procedures; territorial, provincial, and national codes; and in compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations.

Required Qualifications Include:
- Intra-provincial certification as a Power Systems Electrician, or equivalent

- Knowledge of Nunavut, the land, language, and culture.
- The ability to communicate in Inuktitut, Inuinnaqtun and/or French.
We offer a competitive salary range of $113,838.40 to $32,059.20 and a northern living allowance of 18,517.00 per annum. Your Role as Intermediate Electrical Engineer
In your role as an Intermediate Electrical Engineer, reporting to the Manager of Power Systems Engineering Services, you are responsible for performing engineering design and studies for various electrical distribution and substation projects (from 600V up to 230kV voltage levels). This includes preparing electrical protection and control design deliverables, and/or physical layouts for medium and high voltage substations. You will also establish project strategy, review drawings, and ensure elements of design and detailing adhere to jurisdictional requirements and will liaise with all key stakeholders.
Your Key Accountabilities
- Technical and Documentation
- Independently prepares and verifies complex technical calculations.
- Designs distribution systems utilizing client standards including bill of materials, yard layouts, plans, sections and details, grounding, ground grid, control building arrangements, interior and exterior raceways, auxiliary AC and DC power systems and cable lists.
- Designs protection and control scheme; including CT selection, relay wiring design and protection parameter selection using IEEE standards and applicable codes.
- Prepares scope of work, estimates, schedules, budgets, specifications and reports.
- Prepare new and modify existing relay drawings including relay panel arrangements, single lines, three lines, AC and DC schematics, equipment wiring, and relay panel wiring.
- Prepare new and modify existing reports/studies such as Protection and Coordination, Arc Flash, Load Flow and Grounding.
- Leads site visits for data collection, and assessments and to provide recommendations for remedial action.

- Substation design experience considered an asset
- Familiarity with power systems including power systems studies (load flow and protective device coordination using Easypower, SKM and ETAP), project scopes, project schedules and deliverables
- Knowledge of engineering standards, codes and guidelines
- Strong industrial experience, with experience in surface and underground mining
- Knowledge of mining-related processes is a definite asset
- Able to work independently and in a team environment to meet tight deadlines

Manager, Alternative & Renewable Energy (QEC-25-008)

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Manager, Alternative & Renewable Energy (ARE) is responsible for the research, planning, and managing ARE initiatives and programs. The position supports the execution of ARE projects by providing engineering support in areas such as planning, design, technical analysis, and conducting research. The position also provides technical advice, support, and recommendations to stakeholders as required through designated renewable/alternative energy resources.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee ARE staff and coordinate with other jurisdictions / utilities for developing ARE plan and program for the Corporation to meet QEC/GN mandate for reducing dependency on fossil fuel.
- Manage NMP (Net Metering Program), CIPP (Commercial and Institutional Power Producer), and IPP (Independent Power Producer) program.
- Provide recommendations for higher management regarding ARE initiatives.
- Respond to requests for information from the media re: renewable energy initiatives, etc.
- Keep track of all projects and resources, as well as reporting internally and externally.
- Closely work with Finance and Operations to ensure program effectiveness and to improve efficiency and liaison with Federal and Territorial Government agencies.
- Oversee design and development of new and existing ARE initiatives including stamping designs.
- Prepare Requests for Tender (RFT) / Request for Proposal (RFP) for ARE projects and ensures effective projects execution.
- Any other ad hoc duties as required.
Required Qualifications Include:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical / mechanical engineering.
- Experience in ARE project management in Utility sector.
- Registered Professional Engineer (P. Eng), with immediate eligibility for registration with NAPEG.
- Seven years of ARE project management experience in a utility.
- Two years of experience in the supervision and development of staff.

- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset.
- Experience in full scope project management, from inception to commissioning an asset.

Nous recherchons un·e professionnel·le des ventes SaaS motivé·e pour nous aider à gagner des parts de marché et développer des revenus récurrents dans l’un des secteurs les plus importants et en pleine croissance.
Ce que tu feras :
- Gérer l’ensemble du cycle de vente — de l’identification des prospects à la signature des contrats d’abonnement.
- Cibler les producteurs d’énergie renouvelable et les aéroports à travers l’Amérique du Nord.
- Créer et présenter des argumentaires de vente adaptés aux besoins des clients et axés sur le retour sur investissement.
- Développer des relations à long terme afin de maximiser les renouvellements et les opportunités d’upsell.
- Rester à l’affût des tendances du marché pour identifier de nouvelles opportunités de croissance SaaS.
- Apporter des idées nouvelles et contribuer à une culture d’amélioration continue et d’innovation.
Ce que tu apportes :
- 2 ans ou plus d’expérience en ventes SaaS B2B ou en développement des affaires.
- Un véritable esprit de chasseur·se, avec un historique de succès dans l’atteinte des objectifs.
- Excellentes compétences en communication et en présentation.
- Une attitude proactive et un esprit axé sur les résultats.
- Un diplôme universitaire en administration, finance, ingénierie ou une expérience équivalente.
- Maîtrise de l’anglais (essentiel pour nos marchés) ; l’espagnol ou le français est un atout.
- Un plus si tu comprends le secteur de l’énergie renouvelable.
