**What are your contributions to the team?**
+ Coordinate, support and execute all engineering Configuration Management deliverables on time, including the preparation of the Engineering Configuration Statements (ECS).
+ Ensure that engineering configuration definition correctly defines the configuration and is maintained with changes recorded to permit traceability.
+ Perform audits of each major Supplier engineering CM data.
+ Resolve engineering CM issues throughout the Program.
+ Advise Engineering and/or Suppliers/vendors of configuration discrepancies, where corrections are required.
+ Ensure that supporting functions, internal and external, (including Suppliers and/or Subcontractors) comply with Configuration management policies and procedures with respect to applicable Bombardier Manuals Group.
+ Notify the major suppliers of when their component ECS is due.
+ Responsible to validate the on-boarding of new suppliers and provide guidance in resolving engineering CM issues.
+ Contribute to the Configuration Management Knowledge domain.
+ Actively participate as an engineering focal in continuous improvement projects focused on new tools and processes for sustaining and development programs.
+ Present engineering CM topics to any level of the organization including upper management.
+ Develop peers and new hires in the field of engineering Configuration Management through training, mentoring and review of daily work.

+ You have deep knowledge of engineering CM activities within the Bombardier system and on various platforms and how they are applied with respect to the Product Definition at Bombardier.
+ You have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the aircraft configuration management field.
+ You are proficient in the use of MS Office applications (e.g. Access, Excel).
+ You have a deep knowledge of the Team Centre.
+ You have a good level understanding of Airframe configuration management and control and have developed aircraft level Configuration Management Plans.
+ You have strong understanding of civil aircraft certification rules and experience in certification procedures.
+ You are highly motivated with a proven ability to adapt in a dynamic environment. You are a leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a high sense of commitment, and a willingness to accept responsibilities while acting independently.
+ A college diploma and CMMI certification would be considered an asset.

About the role
In this role, you will work within a small team of highly experienced rail professionals reporting into the Regional Managing Director.
You will be the subject matter expert in Asset Management and Maintenance with our clients and be required to deliver customer-focused solutions, across a diverse project-based rail business.
In partnership with the Regional Director, you will participate in sales calls as the subject matter expert in Asset Management and Maintenance.
The successful candidate will have significant railway Asset Management and Maintenance knowledge and demonstrated experience leading complex rail projects. This role will be based full time in Toronto.
You can expect to be doing the following types of activities:
- Leading Asset Management and Maintenance needs analysis and development with knowledge of Life Cycle Cost (LCC) modelling.
- Leading the development and analysis of system requirements.
- Planning and conduct of verification & validation/test & evaluation activities/programs.
- Integrating of engineering activities across the Asset/Life Cycle Cost.
- Identifying specific business development and strategic growth initiatives / opportunities for the team resulting in stronger client relationships, increased revenue, and work for the team.
- Actively involved in the preparation of bids taking responsibility for scoping, pricing and all technical aspects of bids.
- Delivering projects to a standard and in a manner that increases the likelihood of us being sole sourced for the next opportunity.
- Providing advice to clients based on your technical skills and knowledge (with support from team members including technical reviewers).
- Ensuring commitment to client relationship development and management.
- Executing quality deliverables and timely delivery of projects and reports.
- Showing ‘big picture’ appreciation – a holistic approach to managing infrastructure – through linking skillsets from across the NRC business to deliver integrated solutions to our clients.

- Degree in relevant subject area or equivalent
- Proven track record in implementing operational performance improvement initiatives
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and problem-solving abilities
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external staff
- Proven ability to translate client needs into working solutions
- Railway (Heavy Rail, Subway, Streetcar, LRT) experience – including knowledge of interface between train and infrastructure
- Build sustainable relationships with customers, identifying and developing opportunities and managing these through to new work
