**Job Description:**
Parsons is seeking for an entry level CAD Technologist in their Markham office in Ontario to join the civil infrastructure group to be part of team working on projects of Roadways, Bridges, Transitways, Municipal and/or County arterial roads, side streets, multi-use pathways, parking facilities etc.
**ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Drafting of Electrical layouts, Single Line Wiring Schematics in AUTOCAD and MicroStation
+ Be part of electrical project team and attend project meetings
+ Generate one-line diagrams, traffic signal wiring diagrams, roadway lighting wiring diagrams and electrical details
+ Coordinate on site with electrical contractor and Performs field inspections and provides professional field support as necessary during construction phases.
**PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:**
+ 3 or 2-year Electrical Engineering Technologist Diploma and preferably 1 year of related work experience. _(Experience is desired but not mandatory, On Job training provided to fresh out of school Technologist)_
+ Proficient in the utilization of current electrical engineering theories and practices.
**SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:**
+ Potential to perform in an engineering team, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a familiarity of industry practices and regulations are desired.
+ Strong background in AutoCAD, MicroStation and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is desired.

- Performing hand and computer calculations for foundations, concrete, and steel structures

  • Professional Engineering License (P.Eng) or equivalent is required.

  • 5-7 years of experience in product design and manufacturing.

  • Strong knowledge of a range of manufacturing processes (sheet metal, plastics, wood, glass, etc.).

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks (3D modeling and detailed design) and familiarity with SolidWorks PDM preferred.

  • Experience with ERP systems in engineering/manufacturing is an asset.

  • Solid understanding of ANSI/BIFMA standards.

  • Hands-on experience in prototyping and model making.

  • Excellent project management, organizational, and time management skills.

  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

**The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:**
+ Working within the (Highway) Design group on the planning and design of provincial highway facilities
+ Preparation of reports, construction plans, and technical specifications
